Cecil’s journey to safety is a powerful reminder of what kindness and compassion can do. He was found injured and wandering the streets by a concerned neighbor—someone who had never rescued a cat before. This person could not turn her back on this soul in need. Thanks to her and a team effort, Cecil received the medical care he so desperately needed and deserved.

Life on the streets was not kind to Cecil. Covered in bite wounds and completely shut down, it was clear he had spent his entire life just trying to survive. Once in our care, Cecil began to heal—not just physically, but emotionally. He started making eye contact, slowly trusting the people around him. Then came the day, he finally allowed us to completely pet him from head to toe. His whole body relaxed, and we knew Cecil was not a Community Cat. He was most likely a house pet at one time however was abandoned by the humans he trusted. This guy has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate boy who now purrs for pets and enjoys the simple joys of a full belly, good food, and a warm cozy place to rest.

Cecil is ready for a loving home where he can continue his journey. He would do well with another friendly, low-key cat after a proper introduction. He’s living proof that with love, even the most wounded hearts can heal.

He is 3 years old, neutered, microchipped, and FeLv negative. He has been neutered, vaccinated, treated with topical flea control and dewormed. Cecil is FIV+ which is a feline specific retrovirus that cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs. There is a very low risk of this being transmitted to other cats which is primarily through fighting and biting with deep tissue bite wounds. Fiv is not transmittable between spayed/neutered cats under normal circumstances. FIV+ cats can groom, play with, snuggle and share food/water bowls with other cats in their adoptive homes. FIV+ cats, like Cecil, can live long, healthy, normal cat lives when living indoors and provided with loving and veterinary care just like every other cat.

This handsome guy is Randy, his journey started when one of our volunteers noticed him outside of her home. Then he began peeking through her windows, curious about the cozy life inside. She was determined to help him. Slowly, his love for food and well-placed treats lured him onto the patio which led to her office. Once inside, he was nervous however once he realized he was safe, he allowed pets, being picked up and all the love he could absorb. His torrid past just melted away.

Randy has blossomed into a sweet gentle boy who enjoys a quieter home. This observant boy enjoys being around people and simply existing in their presence. He loves short play sessions however is most happy when perched by a window, watching birds, squirrels, and watching the world go by. He loves, loves, loves his treats which we learned are the way to his heart.

If you’re looking for a quiet, independent yet affectionate companion who enjoys the simple pleasures of life—good food, good views, and good company—Randy is your guy!

Sparky- a beautiful girl, approximately a year old, who loves to lay in her hammock taking in the scenery. She is a bit reserved meeting new people until you give her a treat. She would prefer the company of another sweet kitty to hang out with and pal around the house with. She is a conversationalist and always seems to have an idea or opinion to share. She has so much love to give after being rescued from a life on the streets.

Are you looking for a cat to help run your household? If you answered YES, then Mallory is your girl. She is young and energetic and always busy. She likes to think she runs the shelter, we just let her think she does!

Mallory's mental acuity is definitely superior to other cats. She is one smart cookie and can read a room very quickly. She enjoys entertaining herself and plays with her toys for hours. She does play with one of the cats, Mars, in the shelter and when she gets to be too much, he gives her a look and walks away. Mallory and Mars get along fabulously and would love a home together.

Mallory's home should not have young children under the age of 12. She may do well with a playful yet polite pooch with a proper introduction period. We believe once in home with stability, instead of trying to survive life on the streets, she will settle in nicely as she is very sweet and loving.

Please meet our beautiful red headed tabby kitten, Lauren. She has a beautiful tabby/tiger coat that has shades of fiery red that makes her super unique looking! She is as sweet as she is beautiful and loves to play with all her kitten friends in her foster home. She loves her toys, enjoys a good cuddle, and eats like a champ! She would love to meet you and see if she could be a perfect fit to join your family!

Lauren is about 8-9 weeks old and has had her first vaccine and been flea and worm treated.

Lauren MUST go to a home that has another friendly cat/kitten or better yet, adopted with one of her kitten friends that are also available for adoption. Young kittens need a lot of attention and learning from other kitties is necessary for their emotional and behavioral development. Priority will be given to adopters who can provide that.

Lauren is available for adoption through our ‘Foster to Adopt' program. This means she has not been spayed yet as she is too little but you can still take her home and love on her until she’s ready to be fixed. The adoption will be final once she is fixed and vetted at three pounds. This is a great program because it allows kittens to settle into their new home while still being medically followed by Cat by Cat Inc.! It's a win-win for everyone involved.

Please meet our beautiful tortie kitten, Princess Leia. Aptly named as she was found in the pouring rain in a Tops parking lot on May 4th - Star Wars Day! She is as sweet as can be and She loves to play with all her kitten friends. She also really likes her belly rubbed! She would love to meet you and see if she could be your new best friend!

Goldie is an extremely loving 1yr old gal! She did such a great job raising her 4 kiddos and is happy to embrace her youth again. Goldie would make a great companion. She loves company! Calm demeanor, playful, and just so darn sweet. She may even lean in for kisses once she gets to know you! Aside from playing she enjoys finding a cozy spot in a window to watch the squirrels and birds.

Lee is a lovely and sweet tuxedo girl. She is currently at Lock City Books particiapting in their Read with Rescues Program. She is ready for of a home of her own and can't wait to meet you!

She's 2-3 yrs old and is super friendly, sweet, and calm. She loves to eat and enjoys her scratch toys. She’s an independent gal who was not at all bothered by her fellow foster kitties and the small, calm dog in her foster home. Lee would be ok in a home with other kitties or on her own. As long as she has a window to take a nap in, she’s a happy girl!

Lee has been spayed, combo tested negative, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated.

Don’t let her RBF (resting brat face) fool you—Sable is a total sweetheart. She may give you side-eye at first, but this girl loves getting attention from volunteers, playing with toys, and curling up with her best buddy Cecil for a cozy nap.

Sable’s journey has been anything but ordinary. When she first came to us, she was shy and unsure of people. We thought she’d be happiest as a barn cat and found her a safe, low-key setup where she could do her thing. She started having some urinary issues and came back for treatment…and that’s when everything changed.

Turns out, the indoor life isn’t so bad. Especially when there are warm beds, tasty treats, and no snowstorms. Sable quickly decided she prefers comfort over cold and has blossomed into a chill, affectionate house cat.

She’s a gentle, low-maintenance girl who enjoys a calm home and respectful vibes. She’s not a lap cat, but she’ll gladly hang out nearby, especially if you’ve got treats or a toy. With slow introductions, she’d likely do well with another calm feline friend—especially if they’re anything like Cecil.

She is 2 years old spayed, microchipped FeLv/Fiv- negative/negative, vaccinated, been treated with topical flea control and dewormed. To keep her healthy and feeling her best, Sable will need to stay on a special diet of CD dry food and UR wet food (pâté only—no stew, please!).
