Tenacity: Characterized by extreme persistence My name is Lauren Barker. I began riding at the age of 7.

I am 23 years old and have been involved with horses all my life. I have trained and showed competitively with many trainers around the Treasure Valley (Idaho) and Willamette Valley (Oregon) in various disciplines, such as Eventing, Jumpers, Dressage, Ranch, and the APHA Performance Circuit. In high school, I was a memberthe Boise Pony Club, Future Farmers of America, and 4-H. I have started colts

and trained/worked horses of varying experience levels. While attending college at Oregon State University, I was an active member of the Event Team, Social Chair officer on the Dressage Team as well as on the Intercollegiate Dressage Team, and Secretary on the Hunter/Jumper Team, as well as a member of the traveling competition team. In Fall of 2020, I graduated with high honors with a degree in Agriculture Science with an emphasis in Equine Science. I now work as a professional groom, primarily in the breed show world as well as some Dressage, Eventing, and Jumpers. I also offer professional body clipping services; anything from a big clip to a full body show horse and will modify to meet your specific needs. Banding and braiding also available.

Great hunter, jumper, dressage, or eventing prospect

Drama is a classic backburner horse, living in a herd for the first three years of her life, brought in and received three months of training in the summer of 2023, and has since just been hanging out. For the past month she has been doing ground work, surcingle work, and been getting saddled but not ridden.
She is not for a beginner and will take a confident hand to show her the reins as she is a cautious horse that needs exposure. But she has a fabulous, forward, and game jump and three nice gaits that will only get better as she builds muscle.
Would be best for a young professional on a budget or ammy working under a trainer.

She has never been lame and the owner has kept her utd on everything and is willing to release any vet records to her new owner.

Beautiful 2017 registered purebred Arabian.
Standing at 15h, this dark bay mare is sure to catch your eye! With three smooth and cute moving gaits, this mare isn’t one to skip out on.

After receiving initial training at Arabian show barns, Jojo acted as a broodmare for a couple years before coming to me for a tune up, and she is now ready to find her home!
Ridden primarily western at this time, she is soft mouthed and goes nicely in a snaffle or curb. Not for a complete beginner as she can have some mild Arabian Mare attitude, but is generally easygoing. More woah than go and her gaits are on the slower side, but not quite the western pleasure style. No lunge needed but knows how if asked. I have not had her on trails. She could really go any direction at this point!
Jojo body clips, bathes, trailers, stands tied, goes over poles, is not herdbound, and has respectful ground manners. She is also just a very sweet girl overall 🩷
The only maintenance she receives is wearing front shoes in order to not wear her club foot unevenly, but has always remained sound. Will be due for dental and vacc this coming spring.

Gunner is a 4 yo grade QH gelding standing about 14h. I purchased him this last summer as a project. but I am now starting school in January and don’t have the time to put the work in that he needs.

He was rescued from a malnourished situation in summer of 2023 as an untouched 3yo. Since then he has been passed through a few hands before landing with me. I did a few months of ground work and now have him going walk/trot under saddle. He is still very green under saddle. He also lunges, bathes, stands tied, walks over tarps and through water, body clips, and stands for the farrier. This is all with patience and encouragement. He is soft with the bit and already crossing over in pivots and lifting his shoulder over. He is an athletic mover, quick on his feet, and will be a really cool little horse with the right person.
Since I got him he has also been putting on weight easily and will be a little beefcake when he must on muscle as well!

While Gunner is a very sweet boy and tries to do what you want, he is still apprehensive some days (snorting when you walk up, bug eyed). I believe this is something that will go away with becoming more comfortable. He is not hard to catch.

My Story

Hey everyone! My name is Lauren Barker and I am a current student at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, where I work out of during the school year. Over summer, I work out of Eagle, Idaho and the general Treasure Valley area. I am 19 years old and have been riding since the age of 7. I have trained my personal horses and and showed competitively with many trainers around the Treasure Valley in various disciplines, such as eventing (dressage, showjumping, cross country), western pleasure, and horsemanship in general. I spent years as a member of the Boise Pony Club, Meridian FFA, and Ada County 4-H. I am currently a member of the OSU Eventing Team, Dressage Team, and Hunter/Jumper Team, as well as the national organizations of American Paint Horse Association, Pinto Horse Association of America, American Stock Horse Association, United States Eventing Association, and United States Dressage Federation, and United States Hunter Jumper Federation. Since the beginning of my riding career, I have been working at barns, cleaning stalls, clipping horses, banding for shows, polishing tack, you name it.

I can not call myself a professional bander/braider, but I do have plenty of experience at shows doing the mane of my own horses, as well as friend’s horses. If the photos I put out of my jobs look good to you, I can band or braid your horse for a show the day before or day of. I am also available to be an overall groom and assistant at shows, lunging, saddling, feeding, unloading and loading, etc etc.
