Meet Cod!

Cod is a gentle and sweet 9 month old girl who is looking for a loving home to call her very own. This beautiful pup came to us all the way from New Mexico with her brother, Salmon, and she is ready to get a fresh start here in Colorado!

Cod is a bit of a shy girl, she really wants love but she can be a bit nervous making new friends and it takes her a while to warm up. Once Cod knows she can trust you, you get to see her affectionate, silly, and playful side! Cod is going to thrive in a home environment with patient humans and possibly another gentle canine companion who can help show her the ropes. We know with a little love and time, as Cod's self confidence grows she is going to bloom into an absolutely amazing companion dog!

Cod is fun, active, curious, and loves to play! This girl might just be the perfect hiking trail buddy you have been looking for!

Meet Salmon!

Salmon is here and ready to party! This sweet and fun-loving boy came to us all the way from New Mexico and he is so excited to begin his life here in Colorado! Salmon is super sweet, he can be a bit shy when first meeting strangers, but he warms up quickly and once he knows you're a friend he is ready to play! Salmon likes to make new canine pals as well! (we do recommend a proper slow introduction for him though, as he can also be a bit nervous when first meeting new dogs.)

Salmon just needs a bit of time to learn that life isn't so scary, once he feels comfortable he really is a great boy who is going to make an amazing dog for someone! We think Salmon is going to be the perfect mountain dog as well! This boy will gladly join you on a hike or camping trip - however he would also love to cuddle up on the couch for a Netflix marathon.

Mr. Salmon is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines - don't miss your chance to meet this awesome boy, he really is a total catch!

New Puppy Alert!

Check out these absolute cuties! The "Vampire Litter" is an adorable crew of mixed breed mystery mutts who recently came to us from our friends at Rescued Pets Movement in Carlsbad, New Mexico! These pups are social, active, and lots of fun - we think they are going to be the perfect mountain pups!

All pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and heartworm tested!

Don't miss your chance to meet Dracula, Akasha, Vlad, and Edward! If you invite these pups into your heart, we know they will stay forever!

Looking for low-cost spay/neuter for your pets? Reach out to our friends at Journey Home Animal Care Center, they are amazing and very affordable!

Whether you got your new dog or cat from JHACC, from a friend, or off of the internet, we hope that you will get them spayed or neutered! Responsibly altering your pets is a great way to prevent unwanted litters and keep your animals healthy. Cats can reproduce at only 4 months of age, and some dogs begin reproducing at 6 months. Our clinic offers financial assistance to those in need.

All animals adopted from Journey Home Animal Care Center come spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped; but we know that’s not always the case with animals adopted outside of our shelter!
