Let's Talk about health testing!

Health testing is a variety of tests performed by your regular Veterinarian and often veterinarians with additional training and Education.

Health testing can be performed on all dogs, purebred and mixed breed. Hip screening is a very important tool so you and your veterinarian know what type of activities your dog can tolerate and you can have a plan from a young age.

I recommend all people who want to do agility to obtain a variety of health testing including hip evaluation (PennHip or OFA)

All reputable breeders will do screening of the hips of their breeding stock. The umbrella of Hip Dysplasia is known to have many genetic factors, and breeders can lower the incidences of this painful disease by screening their breeding stock and only using dogs with no signs of Hip Dysplasia.
