💜 It takes a village… and sometimes that village needs a little help.

Our Community Bark Box outside Bauser’s Neighborhood Bar is running low on two of our most-needed items:
🐱 Dry cat food
🐶 Wet dog food

The Bark Box is a free community resource where anyone can take pet food and supplies when they need a little extra help—no questions asked. Whether someone is between paychecks, facing an unexpected hardship, or just needs a hand, we want to make sure their pets don’t have to go without.

If you’re able, please consider picking up an extra bag or a few cans during your next shopping trip. Donations can be dropped off during business hours at Bauser’s Neighborhood Bar, and we’ll make sure they get into the Community Bark Box.

We wanted to say thank you to Hanks Bark Box and their supporters for paying it forward and donating 20 cases of wet cat food for our pantry!! It does take a village and we are so thankful!!!

🚨🐱 PSA FROM THE CATS OF RESCUE NOT RETAIL 🐱🚨

“Attention humans… we have a tiny situation.”

Our Bark Box shelves are currently looking a little more ‘cat knocked everything off the counter’ than we’d like, and right now we’re in need of WET CAT FOOD ONLY. 🥫💜

If you’d like to help keep some furry bellies full, donations can be dropped off at Bauser’s Neighborhood Bar. Every can makes a difference!

We also have one small favor to ask: if you’re utilizing the Bark Box, please take only what your pet needs for 1-2 days at a time. We want to make sure there’s enough food available for everyone in our community who may need a helping paw. 🐾

Think of it this way: if your cat discovered an unlimited supply of treats, would they leave any for the other cats? Exactly. Let’s be better than the cats. 😹

As always, thank you for helping us make sure no pet goes hungry. You’re the reason we have happy purrs, wagging tails, and full food bowls throughout our community. 💜

🚨 EMERGENCY BROADCAST FROM THE COMMUNITY BARK BOX 🚨

The cupboards are bare.

The shelves are sad.

The cats have started checking our inventory spreadsheets.

Friends, we're officially running dangerously low on wet and dry dog AND cat food for our Community Bark Box at Bauser's.

If you're new here, our Bark Box is a simple idea: Take what you need. No questions asked. We stock it every day so local pets and their people have a little extra support when times get tough.

Unfortunately, right now our Bark Box is looking less "community resource" and more "post-apocalyptic pet pantry."

(And let's be honest, treats are never turned away. The dogs insisted we include that.)

We have put together an updated list of all known pet food pantries in the Tampa Bay Area.

We know times are tough, and no one should ever have to choose between feeding themselves or their pets. This list includes known locations, hours, and contact info for organizations throughout Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties that can help with pet food support.
