💔🐔 In Loving Memory of Our Beautiful Maryjane 🐔💔
It is with the heaviest heart that I share that, as of yesterday, our beloved pet chicken, Maryjane, passed away. We believe it may have been related to a stroke or seizure. Some of you knew she had suffered a stroke before. I hand-fed her, cared for her, and helped her get back on her feet. She showed such great progressed.
Maryjane was so much more than a chicken. She originally belonged to one of our dear friends who has since passed away. We named her in honor of them. She was the last chicken I reached out of their coop, and from the very first moment, something was different about her. She came right into my arms without a hint of fear. She was calm, trusting, and so incredibly sweet. I just knew we had a special bond.
I kept her, and she became one of the most loving souls I have ever known. Every single day, she would come straight to me/us to say hello. She wanted to be near me, follow me around, and never let me out of her sight for long. All she wanted was to be held, to feel safe, and to be loved. And that is exactly what she received, every single day.
There was something truly special about Maryjane. She had a way of connecting with you that went far beyond words. She wasn't just a chicken in our care. She was family. She was comfort, companionship, and a little soul who found her way into our hearts and made herself at home.
Losing her hurts more than words can explain. We gave her love, and she gave it right back to us in the most beautiful way. I only wish we could have had more time together.
We say goodbye to our sweet Maryjane. She will always be remembered for her gentle heart, her trust, her sweet greetings, and the way she just wanted to be close to the people she loved.
Fly high, sweet Maryjane. 🕊️🐔❤️ You were a beautiful soul who touched our hearts in ways that will stay with us forever. We love you!
