Based in Duluth, Georgia, we rely on the generosity of donors to provide a range of vital services and programs that support pets and the

ir families. Our offerings include affordable veterinary care, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries, and vaccinations, as well as community outreach, feral cat programs, humane education, and rescue/foster/adoption efforts.

⏺️ Our Wellness Clinic in Gwinnett County provides low-cost routine veterinary care, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and treatment for minor health issues. By making these services accessible, we help pets live healthier lives and keep families together.
⏺️ Outreach Events bring essential resources to communities where access to veterinary care is limited or unavailable. These events often include free vaccinations, microchipping, and pet food and supplies - removing barriers and meeting families where they are.
⏺️ Our Community Cats program helps Georgia residents care for both friendly strays and unsocialized feral cats. Through humane trap-neuter-return (TNR) services and support for colony caretakers, we reduce overpopulation and improve the lives of outdoor and feral cats. Our Working Cat (Barn Cat) program gives unsocialized felines a safe home and a purpose as natural pest control.
⏺️ Humane Education and Youth Programs empower current and future pet owners to become responsible caretakers through educational clubs, special events, and online resources.

Meet Patrick and Charlotte, two adorable tuxedo siblings looking for a forever home!

Patrick is a dapper little guy with a personality to match. He may be a bit shy at first, but once he settles in, his playful side shines! He loves chasing toys, leaping for wand toys, climbing the cat tree, and watching the world go by from the window. Because Patrick is such an energetic boy, he needs another playful cat in his home, and who better than his sister, Charlotte?

Charlotte has a big personality and an even bigger heart. Named in honor of the Brontë sisters, she has a touch of literary elegance - but she's much more interested in chasing toys, shadows, and shoelaces than writing novels! She is playful, affectionate, friendly, and quick to make friends with both people and other cats. When she's not busy pouncing, she loves nothing more than curling up in a warm lap.

Our sweet senior gentleman Bucee is ADOPTED! 🎉

His new family has a special place in their hearts for senior kitties who might be overlooked, and they especially love big boys like Bucee!

He’ll spend his retirement surrounded by all the best kitty luxuries: cat trees, tunnels, wand toys, cozy window seats, and lots of love and attention. No more living outside or worrying about the weather, just comfort, safety, and a family of his own.

And he’ll even have a kitty sister, Sophie, who was also adopted from Planned PEThood! ❤️

He’s Had Fleas, Lice, a Fever… and a Balloon?! 😳🎈

A few weeks ago, sweet little Louie arrived in our foster program covered in fleas and lice. We got him feeling better, and through it all, he has been nothing but an absolute sweetheart.

Then a few days ago, Louie spiked a fever, started vomiting, and developed diarrhea. We initially wondered if stress might be the culprit. Thankfully, his temperature came down, and overnight he left us a very strange “present” in his litter box.

Our vet took a closer look and discovered what it was: a balloon. 😳🎈

Thankfully, X-rays showed no balloon material remaining. Louie is eating, playing, and acting much more like himself. He is also having his neuter surgery, and we’re keeping a very close eye on this little guy as he continues on the road to recovery.

Louie’s story is also a reminder of something we don’t always get to show you: rescuing and caring for a kitten can be expensive. From medical treatment and medications to surgery, food, litter, and foster care, the cost of caring for an animal often goes far beyond the adoption fee. Adoption fees help, but they don’t cover the full cost of care.

🐾 A HUGE thank-you to some of our summer superstars! 🐾

We are incredibly grateful to our volunteer team, lead by @.gilbertson, who spend many of their summer evenings running concessions at concerts at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre to raise funds for Planned PEThood of Georgia. ❤️

They’re out there in the Georgia heat, serving concertgoers and working hard behind the scenes, all while helping raise critical funds that make it possible for us to provide affordable veterinary care, spay/neuter services, rescue, outreach, and so much more.

Their dedication has made a real difference this summer, and we are so grateful for every hot evening, long shift, and tired feet that they’ve given to the animals and families we serve. 🐶🐱

24 More Community Cats, One Big Step Forward 🐾

It’s another big TNVR day at Planned PEThood!

Today, our FIDO mobile surgery unit is busy caring for 24 community cats, helping prevent unwanted litters and giving each cat the medical care they need to safely return home.

Days like today may look like a room full of carriers, sleepy kitties, and a very busy veterinary team, but the impact reaches far beyond our clinic. Every spay or neuter means fewer kittens born without homes and a healthier, more stable community cat population.

24 cats. A whole lot of prevention. A brighter future for community cats. 🩵

What does that mean?

It means helping animals before they ever need a shelter. ❤️

That’s what we do at Planned PEThood of Georgia- providing affordable veterinary care, spay & neuter, vaccines, TNVR and community support to help cats and dogs stay healthy, safe, and at home. (Incl. Community Cats in their outside homes.)
