Meet Colonel Topher – A Gentle Giant with a Warrior's Heart

Colonel Topher may sound like he’s fresh out of a military drama, but this big, grey-and-white sweetheart is all heart and no fight. After spending years surviving on the streets, Colonel Topher has earned his stripes—not through battle, but through quiet resilience and kindness. He’s a true tomboy: scruffy, charmingly rough around the edges, and full of character.

Despite his size, Topher is a gentle soul who never fought back, even when life was unkind. He carries the scars of a rough past but has never let them harden him. He's FIV positive, but healthy and strong, and just needs a loving indoor home where he can finally be safe.

Topher adores head scritches, soft beds, and watching the world from a sunny window perch. He’s the kind of cat who’ll lean into your hand, purring softly, just grateful to be loved.

🦁 Meet Precious – A One-Eyed Wonder with a Heart Full of Love! 🐾

Okay, okay — we know “Precious” might not sound like the name of a ruggedly handsome boy… but spend five minutes with this fluffy sweetheart and you’ll understand why it stuck. 💖 This stunning DLH Maine C**n mix has a silky coat of black, brown, and white tabby swirls, and even though he’s missing one eye (removed when he was a very sick kitten), he sees the world with nothing but love.

Despite a rough start in life, Precious has blossomed into one of the sweetest, most affectionate boys you’ll ever meet. He adores being cuddled, loves to play, and has never met a snack he didn’t like. 🍽️ You’ll often find him curled up beside you or following you around the house like a tiny fluffy shadow.

Although he’s got that Maine C**n personality — gentle, loyal, and social — he’s definitely on the smaller side, likely due to how sick he was when rescued as a kitten. But don’t let his size fool you: his heart is huge. 💕

💙 Meet Lester – The Toothless Wonder with a Heart of Gold! 😻

Lester’s story is one of quiet resilience and pure, unconditional love. This grey and white DSH gentleman was trapped at a feral colony, but it was immediately clear he didn’t belong there. How he survived outside with no teeth is a mystery — but we’re so grateful he did. 🥹 Every tooth appears to have been removed, yet he holds no grudge, only gratitude.

Despite everything he’s endured, Lester is truly one of the sweetest cats we’ve ever met. He leans into affection, seeks out love, and has the gentlest, most soulful energy. He’s soft in every sense of the word — from his plush coat to his tender spirit. 💕

Lester is the kind of cat who reminds us why we do what we do — a beautiful old soul who just wants a soft place to land and someone to love him back.

We just asked for help with KITTEN CHOW donations... but sadly, we didn’t get much 💔 And with nearly 200 hungry cats and kittens in our care, we're in urgent need of help!

Thumper is a striking Bombay mix female with sleek black fur, expressive golden eyes, and a personality that absolutely shines! She’s the full package — sweet, spirited, and oh-so-affectionate. This girl is full of energy and charm, with a curious streak that keeps her exploring, playing, and entertaining everyone around her! 🎭🧸

Thumper is incredibly people-friendly — she loves being picked up, melts into your arms for chest cuddles, and goes absolutely wild for belly rubs. She purrs like a little motorboat whenever she’s happy (which is often!), and she’ll even come when you call her name. She’s one of those rare cats who lives for attention — the more, the better! 😻💞

She’s great with dogs, too! Thumper loves to cuddle, groom, and play with canine friends, and she didn’t show any reactivity to other cats during her time at the shelter. She’s also litter box trained, very gentle with her claws, and warms up to new people quickly — making her an ideal addition to just about any home 🐶🐾🐱.

This clever girl is obsessed with toys — feather wands, crinkly balls, tunnels, you name it! Because she’s so smart and playful, Thumper can get a little mischievous when bored, so she’d truly thrive in a home with other pets, plenty of enrichment, and a family who’s ready to shower her with attention. That’s right — a kitten that still looks like a baby can already be having babies. One unspayed female cat and her offspring can produce over 5,000 cats in just 7 years. 😱

That’s why spaying and neutering is so important — it prevents unwanted litters, reduces shelter overcrowding, and helps every cat live a healthier, happier life.
