💔 💙BLUE IS WAITING… AND SHE HAS NO IDEA HOW LONG. 💙💔
Sometimes, the hardest part of rescue isn’t saving an animal.
It’s waiting.
Waiting for someone to come home.
Waiting for a family to be whole again.
Waiting for the life you knew to come back.
Meet Blue. 🐾💙
Blue’s world was turned upside down when her home was destroyed in a devastating gas explosion. And while Blue survived, the person she loves most has been fighting to recover in the hospital.
He’s been there for months.
Blue doesn’t understand gas explosions. She doesn’t understand hospitals. She doesn’t understand why her person hasn’t come through the door.
She only knows that he’s gone.
And she waits.
Animal Control was incredibly kind and cared for Blue for a large portion of this time. But as her owner’s hospital stay continues, Granny Rose Animal Shelter has stepped in through The Stevie Project to provide Blue with long-term care until the day she can finally be reunited with her person.
And friends… that day may still be a long way away. 💔
The Stevie Project was created to help families in crisis stay together. Sometimes that means helping for a short time.
But sometimes, a crisis lasts much longer than anyone ever imagined.
Blue is one of those cases.
While she waits, she still needs everything every beloved dog deserves. ❤️
🐾 Food
🐾 Veterinary care
🐾 Vaccinations
🐾 Spay surgery
🐾 Supplements
🐾 Medication
🐾 A safe, warm place to sleep
🐾 And, most importantly, someone to tell her that she hasn’t been forgotten.
Blue is a really, really good girl.
She is patient. She is loving. And she is simply waiting for the person she loves to come back for her.
We can’t fix what happened to Blue’s home.
We can’t make her owner’s recovery happen faster.
But we can make sure Blue is safe and cared for while she waits.
