I wanted to give a shout out to several people who helped get me through these past two weeks.......Jayme Davis, who I can truly always count on to help me out no matter the situation (she can now add dog blood glucose monitoring to her resume lol) and always rearranges her schedule to help me out in an emergency....I truly could not do this job without you having my back🥰

I also wanted to thank my customers Matt and Barbara, who despite driving all the way back from Florida, spent this morning taking apart my AC and figuring out how to fix it with literally a $15 part. Now I'm up and back to running all four rooms and the biggest weight has been lifted from me 🥰. There truly are no words that can convey how much I truly appreciate this!

AND to all of my customers that have messaged, texted, and called offering suggestions, offering to pay for boarding early, and even those friends that aren't customers that offered to start a Go Fund Me to get a new AC installed, and to my Dad who offered to help pay towards another AC. THIS SMALL BUSINESS WOMAN IS SO TRULY GRATEFUL TO ALL OF YOU❤️. I had felt so defeated this week but you all made me feel so much better just knowing you cared 🥰

ATTENTION: THERE IS NO MORE BOARDING AVAILABILITY LEFT FOR 2026.

I WILL BE TAKING Boarding RESERVATIONS FOR JANUARY THROUGH MARCH 2027 BEGINNING OCTOBER 1ST AND RESERVATIONS FOR THE REST OF 2027 ON JANUARY 1ST. I WILL HAVE VERY LIMITED SPACE NEXT YEAR DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND MY CONTROL SO IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU BOOK EARLY ! THERE WILL ALSO BE A SMALL PRICE INCREASE BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2027. I WILL BE SENDING OUT INFO TO ALL CUSTOMERS SOON ABOUT THIS PRICE INCREASE.

SOME IMPORTANT BOARDING UPDATES:

**For those of you that I know are already planning ahead for next year (2027), here are the dates I will be boarding:

January 15-22, 29-31
February 1-5, 8-13,16-28
March 1-15, 26-31
April 1-25
May 14-September 25 (except Aug 23-27)
October 3-17
October 24-31
November 19-30
December 13-31 (Jan 1-3)

THESE DATES FOR 2027 ARE THE ONLY DATES I WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR BOARDING. If you have plans for dates that are not listed , please start looking for alternative boarding places. As I have been telling my customers, I plan to semi retire beginning Fall 2027 so I will be taking a lot more time off.

BOARDING RESERVATIONS FOR January through March 2027 can be made beginning October 1st. RESERVATIONS FOR April through December 2027, can be made beginning January 1st. ALL RESERVATIONS REQUIRE A $150 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT FOR CURRENT CUSTOMERS AND A $200 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT FOR NEW CUSTOMERS. **DEPOSITS will NO LONGER BE REFUNDED OR APPLIED TO LATER RESERVATIONS UNLESS A TRIP HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO A WEATHER EMERGENCY, PERSONAL HEALTH CRISIS, DEATH IN THE IMMEDIATE FAMILY, OR DEATH OF THE DOG YOU WERE PLANNING TO BOARD.

*****NOW IS THE TIME TO START LOOKING FOR BOARDING ALTERNATIVES WHEN I AM NOT AVAILABLE. If you live in Dinwiddie and would like for someone to come to your house, please contact me for Jayme’s number. Jayme is SUPER RELIABLE and has lots of experience with farm animals as well as house pets….she is also my go to pet sitter 🥰. If you are looking at other boarding places, please ask lots of questions and go look at them personally. Make sure they are licensed and insured and have a back up power source in case of power outages. Ask if someone is on site 24/7 or what their hours are, what their prices include, and how many times your dog will get to go outside and if your dog gets to play with other dogs. AND REMEMBER CHEAPER USUALLY DOES NOT MEAN BETTER!

Since most of the dogs do not want to go out in this heat the past few days, I have been working on boarding quotes through Labor Day. I will send them out today and tomorrow. If you do not receive your quote by tomorrow evening, please contact me.

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: Due to several cancellations (some last minute), the following dates are now available this summer for boarding:

August 2-8 (Now filled 😊)

ALSO, I will be sending out new Boarding Rules in the next few weeks. Please read through them as I have made some changes.

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2027 BOARDING:

I will begin taking boarding reservations for January through March 2027 in October. Reservations for April through Labor Day 2027 will begin January 1st. After Labor Day, I will be SEMI RETIRING. I will be opening up boarding for a week or two in September and October (you can contact me to find out which weeks), the last two weeks of November and the last three weeks in December. Beginning 2028, I will be CLOSED FOR THE MONTHS OF JANUARY AND FEBRUARY. I will continue to be open for Holiday weeks (to include Spring Break) and for the months of May through Labor Day for summer boarding.

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: I have had more cancellations for this summer than I ever have had in my 16 years in business😞. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND I am a VERY SMALL BUSINESS with limited space. Many of the cancellations have been last minute that I can not possibly fill. When you make a reservation, you are taking a space from someone else and when you cancel last minute, I am losing out on money I had counted on to pay bills. PLEASE REVIEW MY CANCELLATION POLICY. I have been very lenient with it in the past but moving forward I will have to stick to my policies.
