The MISSION of Dinwiddie County Animal Control is to humanely enforce Dinwiddie County Ordinances and laws Commonwealth of Virginia, as they pertain to domestic animals and the public's health, safety and welfare. To serve the citizens of Dinwiddie County by enforcing those laws and ordinances, and to educate the public concerning the ordinances, their importance to the community and animals, and

not to punish, or assume the responsibility of the court system. To strive toward the reduction and prevention of animal-related problems in the community through reasonable and responsible application of education, warning/citation system, and the impoundment of domestic animals. The purpose of this site is to present matters relevant to the services, activities, issues or policies of Dinwiddie County. We encourage you to submit your questions, comments, criticisms and concerns, but please note that this is a moderated online discussion site and not a public forum. MISSING!!!

These 2 beagley houndy mixes took off and haven’t returned. They live in the Rives Avenue, Mckenney area. The female is Mizz Dot and she is wearing a faded orange collar. Mizz Dot was spayed about a month ago so may still be a bit “hairless” on her tummy. Rascal is a stocky, male and has a “snip-snip” appointment soon. He is wearing a blue collar.

Astro is missing from the Rainey Road area. He was wearing a faded black collar with tags when he went off chasing a deer. He has not returned and his mom is worried about him. Who owns these 2 rock heads? Super friendly and refused to leave the car of a person that stopped to check on them. No ID on their collars, but they hitched a ride in the Glebe Road area almost to White Oak Road.

Dog is not currently at the shelter.

This handsome bully is currently hanging out in the. Old Vaughan Road area. He does have a blue collar and a gold choke chain. If this is your dog please message here or call animal control at 804-469-3755.
Animal control will be collecting him from the finders house in the morning. Claim him before he has to be picked up. 🙂
