What a great week for VDM Equine at the colonial_classic horse show at Prince George’s Equestrian Center!
With big entries and strong competition in every class, our riders held their own and came home with some fantastic top ribbons. Even better, our horses were absolutely spectacular and our riders walked into the ring confident, prepared, and ready to do their jobs — exactly what we hope to see when we step away from home.
For several members of our group, this was their first away show with us, and it was pretty special to watch everyone settle in, support one another, and become part of the team. Everyone brought something to the table — helping, cheering each other on, laughing, learning, and adding to the positive culture we’re working hard to build. The results are always exciting, but the people and the atmosphere behind them mean just as much.
A special shoutout to Beverly Maselli, our on-the-road stable manager, whose hard work keeps our horses happy and everything running smoothly while we’re away. And a huge thank you to Jillian Luff and everyone at Groveland Farms for holding down the fort and making sure everything at home is in great hands. It truly takes a team to make these weeks possible!
VDM is growing — not just in numbers, but as a team and a program. Our little operation is starting to feel not quite so little anymore, the roots are getting stronger, and it’s pretty exciting to see what’s starting to bloom.
