HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! 🎃👻

Last night was a full-blown monster mash at ! Congratulations to Bubbles, who showed up dressed as a baked potato and took home the title of 2026 Halloween Costume Contest champion! A Barkside gift card, swag bag, and some serious bragging rights for our favorite little spud 🥔

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and dressed up! The turnout was unreal. And a special thank you to Christine from Christine OBrien for capturing all our little monsters in their Halloween best! 💚

What a night. Thank you all for coming out to send off Annie! She’s been here since the very beginning, just like so many of you, and seeing THAT many people show up for her got us a little emotional. That’s just the kind of person she is!

Annie (and Jazz!!!), we’re going to miss you like crazy. Slovenia has no idea how lucky they are 💛

Well, this certainly isn’t the week we had planned 🙃

We really wish we were welcoming you and your pups back to today. A HUGE thank you to everyone who’s checked in, sent us a kind message, or offered to help this past week. It’s been a frustrating week, but hearing from so many of you has made it a little easier. It’s the people who make this community so special, and we’re pretty lucky to have you.

We’re making sure our team is taken care of while we’re closed, and we’ve got a little something up our sleeves to thank our members, too.

We’re doing everything we can to get our happy place back open THIS WEEK!!! We miss the dogs. And you guys, obviouslyyyy 💚

Just a couple of familiar faces helping us cut the ribbon at Barkside Detroit’s grand opening Mayor Mary Sheffield Mayor Mike Duggan 👀

Since day one, this place has been about more than dogs and drinks. It’s about the people who show up, the neighbors who support us, and the community that makes a place worth building. We’re proud to be part of this neighborhood, and we’re grateful for everyone who has helped make Barkside what it is today 💚

Tonight, we’re doing what we do best: bringing people together. Shrek trivia is happening from 7–9 PM. Come hang out with your neighbors, meet some new friends, and take a break from the noise. Everyone’s welcome, with or without a dog.

We had the best day lining the route at Detroit Free Press Marathon with our favorite people and pups. Strangers cheering for strangers, smiles for miles, and a whole city showing up for each other. And that’s what it’s all about yo!
