The vet removed his staples today and said he is healing beautifully after his surgery! He also tested negative for FIV and FELV. He is still getting used to life on three legs but he is feeling so much better!

Unfortunately, we received some bad news at our TNR appointment for Fort. The ARL was able to take X-rays and determine the infection had spread to his wrist and there is no bone remaining to walk on. Our only option is to amputate his front leg and he is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning. We are attaching our PayPal link if anyone is willing to donate towards his surgery and recovery. Happy Monday! After years of this feral boy outsmarting our traps we finally got him this morning! A few weeks ago he showed up with a wound on his front leg and he wasn’t walking on it. Since then the infection has gotten worse and he has drastically lost weight. His TNR appointment is scheduled for tomorrow and he will remain in our care until fully healed!

Update on Mr. B

Heading into week 3 he is feeling much better after being treated for his sinus infection and parasites. When we first bought him in we noticed he didn’t have full control of his bowl movements but he is now using his litter box and has very few accidents. We celebrated his improvements yesterday with a new cat tree and catnip mice! 🧡

Tonight’s newbie! 🧡 Poor guy is incredibly skinny, has an open wound on his tail and is suffering from an upper respiratory infection.
