Jacobs Stables Show Team Spotlight: Quinn & Murphy 🐴✨

Next up in our Show Team Spotlight series is Quinn and Murphy!

As one of our newer partnerships, these two are learning and growing together every day. Building a connection with a new horse takes patience, dedication, and plenty of hard work, and Quinn has embraced every part of the journey.

Murphy likes to keep things interesting from time to time, but Quinn continues to show determination, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn through every challenge. It’s been wonderful watching their confidence grow and their partnership strengthen with each ride.

While they’re still getting to know each other, the progress they’ve made already has been exciting to see. The best part of this sport isn’t always the ribbons t’s the relationships, lessons, and growth that happen along the way.

Im so proud of how far this duo has come & for Quinine not giving up on this naughty pony!

Jacobs Stables Show Team Spotlight: Piper & Grace 🐴✨

We’re kicking off our Show Team Spotlight series with Piper and Grace!

These two have become a force to be reckoned with in the show ring, especially in their in-hand and pleasure classes where they consistently shine. Their hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice are evident every time they step into the ring.

Piper has done an incredible job developing her partnership with Grace. Together they’ve built trust, confidence, and a connection that helps them stand out among the competition. Watching them grow as a team has been so rewarding.

Beyond the ribbons and placings, Piper is a kind, hardworking horsewoman who always puts her horse first, and Grace gives her all in return.

We’re so proud to have Piper and Grace representing Jacob’s Stables and can’t wait to see what they accomplish this season! ❤️🐎

Today we said goodbye to Brandy and Scout.

If you ever came to Jacobs Stables, chances are you knew these two. They have been the face of the barn for many, many years. My grandfather bought them many moons ago for his own little hobby and for us kids, and from that moment on they became part of the family.

Brandy and Scout had several babies together over the years and created memories that will last a lifetime. Brandy taught countless children how to ride and gave so many riders their confidence. She was one of the very best.

Brandy also loved to drive, and many people will remember seeing her proudly pulling a cart. And if you grew up around here, you probably have seen Brandy and Scout loose, running through Holland together as if they owned the place.

These two weren’t just horses; they were a piece of so many childhoods especially mine.

Say hi to my Mom, Kyra, Papa & Nana, and for us. I can only imagine the welcome you received at Heaven’s gate.

The barn won’t be the same without you.💔

Busy weekend with the horses!

Saturday was Hitching Post. Penelope & Django finished 4th overall and had beautiful rides in both cross-country and stadium. Quinn got to experience her very first eventing show and did a great job, keeping an amazing attitude even when Murphy decided to be a little naughty. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sunday, the 4-H girls attended their regional clinic where they had lessons in the morning followed by a small show in the afternoon. Everyone rode well, learned a lot, and represented themselves beautifully.

Yesterday was our first show of the year! What started out as a rough morning turned into a great day for these girls and their horses. But is it even a horse show if it’s not either 120 degrees or pouring rain?

I couldn’t be prouder of their horsemanship, positive attitudes, and determination to stick it out through whatever the weather threw at them yesterday. I’m so excited for the rest of the season and to watch each rider continue to grow and progress.

I love watching the girls encourage one another, and celebrate each other’s successes. I am so lucky to have these amazing young ladies and families as part of our barn family.

🏆 Penelope Longe & Poppy N’ Blues – End of Day Reserve Champion, Youth Division

A special congratulations as well to Lorelei, Kennedy, Aly, Pliny, and Lillie for all of their great placings throughout the day!

You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. Thank you, Piper and Penelope, for all your help leading up to the show. I love you all, and we truly have the BEST barn family. ❤️

It’s that time of year again already 🌾

A huge thank you to this handsome looking crew for helping get the hay unloaded.

And if you know Denise, you know just how hard it is for her to stay away from the hay wagon and not be up there stacking bales. But these days, Memere duties are calling, and she’s happily trading stacking hay for grandbaby snuggles. But obviously she couldn’t resist throwing a few ❤️

Feeling grateful for family, good help, and another hay season underway!
