👋 Meet Kaleigh Perez, Business Office Manager at The Argyle
Kaleigh Perez has been part of The Argyle team for the past two years, serving as the Business Office Manager. In her role, she supports residents and their families with billing and financial questions, keeps administrative operations running smoothly, and works closely with team members on HR needs.

Kaleigh grew up in Colorado, spending her childhood enjoying the mountains, camping trips, and lake days with family. From a young age, she learned the importance of looking out for others and creating a supportive environment—values that continue to guide her work today. She finds deep purpose in working at The Argyle, a place where dignity, compassion, and personal connection are at the heart of everything.

Outside of work, Kaleigh is a mom to an almost-one-year-old who keeps her on her toes. She and her husband still enjoy getting out to the mountains as a family and making trips to the lake whenever they can. Balancing motherhood and her role at The Argyle has been incredibly rewarding, and she feels grateful to be part of an organization that values people, both inside and outside of work.

We had an incredible day up at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park—our second visit in just two months for The Argyle! We savored an amazing lunch, where the service was absolutely superb, and then strolled through the historic site with delight. Such a fun day!

A glimpse into history:
Built in 1909 by F.O. Stanley of Stanley Steamer fame, The Stanley Hotel is an iconic piece of early 20th-century Americana perched high above Estes Park. It opened with grand fanfare and quickly became a refuge for artists, musicians, and literati—including Stephen King, who famously stayed there and drew inspiration for The Shining. The majestic Georgian Colonial architecture, the sweeping views of the Rockies, and the time-capsule charm of its interiors all transport you back in time. Touring the hotel is like stepping into a beautifully preserved storybook of Colorado’s mountain heritage.

Looking forward to many more memorable outings that weave in a bit of history, great food, and wonderful company!

🌟 The Argyle at Casa Bonita: A Day of Delight! 🌟

This week, our cherished Argyle residents embarked on a magical journey to Casa Bonita—an iconic treasure nestled in Lakewood, Colorado. From spectacular cliff divers to mouthwatering sopapillas, the day was filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable moments.

** Why Casa Bonita is so extraordinary:**

A regional landmark since 1974: Opened by restaurateur Bill Waugh, Casa Bonita transformed what was once a retail space into a vibrant "eatertainment" destination with immersive attractions, from a 30-foot waterfall to roaming mariachi bands and themed rooms like Black Bart’s Cave.
Colorado Home News

A quirky cultural icon: Its neon-pink façade crowned with a golden dome and Aztec emperor statue is simply unmistakable. The Lakewood Historical Society even designated it a historic landmark in 2015.

Famous fare and fun: Known more for its atmosphere than haute cuisine, Casa Bonita serves up “all‑you‑can‑eat” Mexican classics and endless sopapillas—tiny fried pastries served with honey—delighting diners for generations.

South Park’s beloved destination: The restaurant was immortalized in a 2003 South Park episode—driving newfound fame and curiosity.

A spectacular revival: After closing due to the pandemic and navigating bankruptcy, Casa Bonita was purchased by its very own fans—South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. They poured in over $40 million to restore its charm and elevate its food and offerings.

Residents were captivated by the multi-level décor, shimmering lights, and the festive sounds of mariachi music drifting through the air.

Cheers (and a few gasps!) as cliff divers leapt from above into the pool below—nature meets spectacle!

Giggles and sticky fingers as sopapillas arrived hot and golden, drizzled in honey.

Exploring the Black Bart’s Cave and plenty of joy in the arcade and puppet shows.

"Unforgettable days begin with laughter, whimsy, and the delight of endless sopapillas! Today, our Argyle family brought the spirit of joy to Casa Bonita—Colorado’s pink palace of food and fun. From waterfall dives to fairy‑tale eats, we soaked up every moment. ¡Hasta pronto, Casa Bonita!❤️"

The Argyle Took a Troll Adventure!

What a magical escape! Yesterday, The Argyle team embarked on a mountain-air adventure to visit the legendary Isak Heartstone, better known as the Breckenridge Troll. Perched along the enchanting Trollstigen Trail, this towering 15-foot wooden sculpture, crafted by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, is built entirely from recycled wood and pallets—a beautiful example of upcycling that sparks joy and creative wonder.

Originally unveiled in 2018 at the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts, Isak quickly became a favorite. His charm and social media fame drew so many visitors that residents in the original area raised concerns—so in 2019, the troll was carefully relocated and reconstructed near the Stephen C. West Ice Arena, where the new Trollstigen Trail leads directly to him.

Our afternoon couldn’t have been more delightful—fresh mountain air, towering trees, and that gentle giant—followed by a picnic by a bubbling stream, complete with laughter and camaraderie. It felt like we took a page from a fairytale!

Pro Tips for Next Time:

Aim for early morning or late afternoon visits to avoid the crowds.
UponArriving

Stick to the Trail—Trollstigen is a one-way, accessible loop (about ¼‑mile)—to preserve the trail and keep Isak standing strong.

Leave no trace. Admire, photograph, but please don’t touch or climb the troll.

Here’s to more adventures that blend art, nature, and the unexpected—while making memories with our Argyle family.

⛳ A Day of Purpose on the Greens with CHFA! 🏌️‍♀️

We’re thrilled to share highlights from a truly meaningful day: The Argyle Senior Living had the honor of participating in the 2025 David W. Herlinger Golf Tournament, hosted by the Colorado Housing & Finance Authority (CHFA) on Tuesday, August 12, at Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton, Colorado.

This annual event, held in remembrance of CHFA’s former Executive Director David W. Herlinger, raises vital funds for nonprofits aligned with CHFA’s mission of investing in affordable housing and community development. This year, proceeds support the Montbello Organizing Committee, an organization that empowers Montbello neighborhood leaders to tackle everyday challenges—from affordable housing to education & food access.

At The Argyle, we believe that serving seniors with dignity goes hand in hand with building vibrant, inclusive communities. That’s why supporting CHFA’s work is so close to our hearts-together, we help ensure that every Coloradan can thrive through housing stability & economic opportunity.

Why CHFA Matters: Since its founding in 1973, CHFA has funneled more than $37.4 billion into Colorado to support homeownership, rental housing, business financing, & community partnerships.

In the first half of 2025 alone, CHFA awarded $1.17 million to 132 nonprofits through its Direct Effect Awards.

CHFA is also playing a leading role in expanding affordable housing across the state through initiatives like Proposition 123, which supports hundreds of new or preserved rental units.

At The Argyle, every room filled is a story of connection & compassion—and our participation in this tournament only deepens that mission. Thank you to CHFA, the Montbello Organizing Committee, and all the partners & sponsors who make this work possible. Together, we’re building stronger, more caring communities—one swing at a time. ⛳

How This Reflects The Argyle’s Voice:
Warmth and story-driven: Opens with a celebratory feel and narrative approach.
Mission-aligned: Connects The Argyle’s values to CHFA’s impact.
Informative and inspiring: Highlights CHFA’s broader role and timely initiatives.

Affinity Ranch offers equine-assisted activities that promote healing, joy, and connection—and we’re so grateful for their hospitality and the memories made.
