NellišŸ’„šŸ¦†

A recent graduate of gun dog school šŸ˜Ž I’m pleasured to have been able to work with this dog when she was just a little puppy. She has grown into such a badass dog and I can’t wait to see her in action. Shoutout to her owners for doing such an awesome job with her and putting in the work since day 1. They are an awesome pack. Stoked to see her future!

Miss Nala!✨ aka Nals✨

In Nalas puppy program we worked on potty training, structure, boundaries, leash skills, socialization, and some anxious behaviors. We definitely focused on her mentality more than anything as I believe that’s where every other problem she will ever have would stem from. We showed her that there are better ways to deal with all those big feelings she felt. She is well on her way to being such a good pup. Small dogs deserve training too! She absolutely killed it.

I have one more board and train spot open for the month of June! Hurry before it gets taken!

Mr WinstonšŸ’„šŸ’„

Dude was a menace haha. But we got him to have some impulse control. There’s now some thought behind actions. In his puppy program we worked on crate training, potty training, leash skills, socialization, boundaries and structure. A pup like this definitely needs the boundaries and structure part. Nonetheless we got him In a routine and he’s back with his owners living his best life! Such a cool little dude, definitely made me work for this one!

I have one more spot open for the month of June! Book with me before it gets taken!

These 3 dogs were not able to co exist in peace like this. They actually fought pretty badly a time or two. We had ONE super long private session and because their owner put in the work, they are not able to at least chill out on the couch together. Some effort and time goes an insanely long ways and stories like these are proof of that. They are not perfect, but that’s not what we strive for. We strive for progress, and only through consistency and effort, more precisely, consistency IN your effort can we achieve that. Bravo to this pack!šŸ‘šŸ½

PapišŸ˜Ž

This is papi. When he came to me he was scared of most things and didn’t quite know how to navigate the world. In his program we worked on socialization, basic obedience, communication, and his mental state. He came scared not knowing what to do, to off leash living his best life. Even the small dogs can do it. Papi was a challenging dog but showed me why I do it, all over again lol. He was fun, I had a blast and made a new little buddy for life. So proud of him and happy that his owners get to enjoy him as much as I did!!

Messages like this are absolutely why I do what I do. So grateful I get to help dogs and people😌. God is good always!!

See how fast things go from fun to dangerous. He’s small but mighty😼. All jokes aside this is a serious issue and should be worked on by a professional. Big or small this may seem cute or even ā€œharmlessā€. It may even look like play, but I promise you he is not playing lol, he can seriously hurt someone if this isn’t resolved, skin breaks easy and it could be a child who’s skin he’s breaking. Resource guarding is a serious issue and shouldn’t ever be overlooked. Could be the difference between a life changing event or not!

Stay tuned for the transformation! This is going to be a fun one!

I have a couple more spots available for the month of April board and trains! Spots filling up fast. Use the link in my bio or dm me!

In this short clip Here, we’re talking about how genetics can play a role in reactivity, and how we can navigate it better by allowing the dog time to process the trigger rather than just letting the dog rehearse the behavior. This dog was super reactive and in this session we start to chip away at it and even get some engagement towards the end. allowing the dog to come to the conclusion of the trigger (whatever is triggering the reactivity) isn’t gonna come to me or I can’t go to it, and I don’t deem it as a threat or it’s not play time is very powerful, I even missed a really good opportunity to reward at the end for being too slowšŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø

Know your breed and everything that they are more inclined to do because of their genetics 🧬

Here’s Leia’s first ever session with leash pressure. This is how I like to introduce it, only AFTER I’ve charged up my ā€œyesā€ marker. I think it’s important to note that once I apply the pressure there can be no success other than giving into the pressure. Success any other way is how the dogs learn to plant, pull against, bite, paw or even bark at it. None of it gets the pressure to go away, only following it will get it to go away. It’s very important and it gets overlooked all the time and that’s where the root of all leash walking problems begin, we wire their brain to learn to follow it this way. It’s simply pressure on, they follow it, pressure off. We don’t want to force the dog to follow by dragging them around but allowing them to do it on their own, help as little as possible but as much as necessary. Learning happens in the gray area so it’s important we allow them to learn. Do this with your dog to get them to understand the concept and then we can move into other leash walking drills to further the skill. Which this very much is, a skill.
