DAG SHIP Rescue - Deming Animal Guardians Sunshine Haven Intake Project Our mission is to care for and love, vaccinate, spay and neuter all animals brought into our care prior to re-homing into approved and loving homes.

Standard work hours are listed, but we will do our best during non-office hours to take your calls and meet by appointment. As a 501(c)3 Non-Profit, we are working in conjunction with Deming Animal Guardians (DAG) to be the kindest place to bring the unwanted, neglected and homeless animals of Luna County, New Mexico. Our mission is to care for and love, vaccinate, spay and neuter all animals brought into our care prior to re-homing into approved and loving homes. In spaying and neutering before re-homing, we hope to stop the needless cycle of unwanted animals in our community. Any and all animals will be welcome to our sanctuary! Dogs, cats, horses, goats, ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, ferrets, birds, llamas, b***o, fish, pigs, reptiles, and basically all of God's creatures. As you can imagine, this is a huge endeavor, but we are confident that our community and our friends will pull together to make this happen before year end. All lives matter. Donations of product, cash and legacy gifts are all appreciated. Should you choose to leave a legacy gift, you can donate a specific sum of money, a percentage of your estate or whatโ€™s remaining of your estate after your other beneficiaries have been provided for. Legacy gifts make an incredible impact in savings pets in crisis. Suki is still waiting for her forever only-cat home. Suki blossoms into the sweetest, cuddliest lap kitty when she's the only cat. She is medium affectionate and definitely sometimes prefers her space. She is a gorgeous all black cat with extremely thick luxurious fur. She has a scarred left eye from long ago that doesn't bother her at all. ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿ–ค

Thank you to APA Las Cruces, for taking in three of our dogs, and here is hoping that Dudley finds a great home after his radio debut! ๐ŸŽ™๏ธโœจ

Please tune in tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. with our friends at Hot 103 and our dedicated host, Monica, for our Pet-of-the-Week (POW)--Dudley! This sweet young man is a recent grad of our Southern New Mexico PAWS prison training program. He came to us from the DAG SHIP Rescue - Deming Animal Guardians Sunshine Haven Intake Project when their similar program at the Southern NM Correctional Facility was shut down through no fault of their own. We took in the three dogs they had there at the time. He's a shy boy who loves other dogs and warms up to trust new humans in no time at all. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ

Champ is a medium sized male cat, who has been neutered and is fully vaccinated. He's outgoing and playful. He loves other kitties, and playing with feathers. ๐Ÿชถ๐Ÿชถ

Florita is the office queen!

She is FIV positive but that doesnโ€™t slow her down! She needs to be a single cat, or a partner to another FIV positive cat. Nevertheless, she can safely interact with other animals and people.

She loves spending her days being friendly to everyone who walks through the door, including dogs.

Florita is both adorable and adoptable.

A FESTIVE AND CHEERFUL THANK YOU TO Bravo Mic Communications Deming Radio - 94.3 FM KDEM The Mix, and KOTS AM for launching their Santa Paws Eventโฃ๏ธ

Bravo Mic Communicationsโ€”together with KDEM-FM and KOTS-AMโ€”is hosting its yearly โ€œSanta Pawsโ€ Pet Toy and Food Drive to benefit DAGSHIP Rescue. We invite community members to bring pet toys, treats, canned food, and dry kibble to the stations at 1700 S. Gold Avenue in Deming. Your donations will assist dogs and cats currently under the rescueโ€™s care as they wait for adoption.

Wishlist: Currently, we do not require towels, blankets, or brushes.

๐Ÿ˜ปOur cats are in need of new unused extra-large kitty litter boxes, clumping kitty litter, and unused cat toys. ๐Ÿ

๐Ÿงผ๐ŸซงOur team could always benefit from additional large and extra-large garbage bags, size small gloves, and laundry detergent.

๐ŸฆดThe main types of food we provide for dogs and cats are Pedigree brand dry food for dogs and Friskies canned food for cats.
