🧨 Fireworks Kill Dogs. Please Help Us Stop It. 🐾

Fireworks are not fun for our pets — they’re terrifying.
The loud booms and bright flashes trigger panic and fear, causing dogs to run blindly, jump fences, break through windows, or slip collars — all to escape the noise. Many are:

🚗 Hit by cars
🏠 Lost and never found
🚨 Taken to shelters, where they’re at risk of being euthanized

This isn’t just tragic — it’s preventable.

👉 Keep your pets safe this fireworks season:

Bring dogs indoors early, before fireworks start

Use a secure, escape-proof room with white noise or calming music

No yard time, even if fenced — scared dogs can climb, dig, or bolt

Microchip and tag every pet

💔 We’re seeing more strays, more injuries, and more heartbreak every July because of fireworks.
Our rescue — like so many — is overwhelmed. We don’t want to rescue more. We want fewer to need rescue.

💡 If you care about animals, don’t light fireworks near homes. And talk to others who do.
Let’s create a community that values animal life.

☀️🔥 Hot Weather Kills Dogs. Don’t Let Yours Be Next. 🐶
Every summer, dogs suffer and die from heatstroke — fast.
They can’t sweat. They can’t speak up. They depend on YOU.

Here’s what every dog owner must know:

🚫 NEVER leave a dog in a parked car.
Even with windows cracked, temps soar over 120° in minutes.
They will die.

🏃‍♂️ Walk early or late.
Hot pavement burns paws.
If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their feet.

💧 Hydration is life.
Always provide cool, clean water — indoors and out.

🏠 Keep them inside during peak heat.
Fans help, but A/C is safest.
Shade is not enough.

❗️Know the signs of heatstroke:

Excessive panting

Lethargy or collapse

Vomiting

Glazed eyes

Drooling or confusion
If you see these — get to a vet IMMEDIATELY.

We’re seeing more dogs suffer because of extreme temps and lack of care.
At Doggidy Doo Dog Rescue, we’re doing all we can — but we can’t do it without your help.

🐾 Adopt. Foster. Donate. Share.
Together, we can save lives before it’s too late.

Time of year again that we as dog owners need to take great care when we walk our dogs - the attached article explains everything you need to know about outdoor temperatures for your dog(s) when to walk and exercise them and when not to - please read and be informed
If it’s too hot for you to walk barefoot then it’s too hot for them

Your dogs will thank you

When air temperatures rise, the surfaces of sidewalks and streets can become scalding hot. Learn how you can protect your dog's paws from the summer heat.

🐾 A Heartfelt THANK YOU from Doggidy Doo! 🐾

Because of YOU, 2024 has been another year of saving precious lives! Every donation, share, and act of kindness has helped us rescue, care for, and find loving homes for countless four-legged friends who bring joy to the world.

The sad reality? More dogs than ever are being abandoned, dumped, and euthanized. But thanks to your support, we’re able to keep fighting for them—both at our rescue and by networking with other organizations to get dogs into safe, loving homes across the USA.

Some of our rescues, especially our beloved seniors, will spend their golden years with us, receiving the love, care, and medical support they deserve. It’s not always easy, but because of YOU, they’re happy, healthy, and safe.

🙏 We truly couldn’t do this without your generosity, love, and support. From the bottom of our hearts—and all of our wagging tails—THANK YOU!

🐶💖 Licks & Wags,
The Doggidy Doo Crew
