💛 Share Your Story: Meet May 💛

After losing their beloved dog Jack at 16, Jamie and her family felt a deep void and the house just didn’t feel the same. But then, a sweet little face kept popping up on Jamie’s feed… and eventually, her husband agreed to go meet her.

That’s when May stole their hearts. 💕 A little older, a little quirky, and perfectly in sync with their family, May quickly became Jamie’s shadow, snuggle buddy, and travel companion.

Whether it’s hiking trails or curling up on the couch, May is now living her best life and giving back all the love they’d been missing.

🐾 A BIG Thank You to Deputy Messer and Sgt. Bryant!🐾

We’re incredibly grateful they serve with heart—no matter what the call may be. 👏

You know that fine print at the bottom of your job description? The part most people tend to skim over - the statement that says: "other duties as assigned."

Deputy Messer, one of our newest Academy graduates, recently discovered that as deputy sheriff, this statement can mean just about anything! While on patrol with his Field Training Officer, Sgt. Bryant, they stumbled upon what we can only imagine was purr chaos at the Humane Society of Delaware County. Twenty-two cats had been dropped off in the middle of the night! Ready to serve and protect, both deputies hopped out of their cruiser and helped carry the innocent furballs safely into the center.

Please know that dropping off animals like this is neither wise nor appropriate.

But these cats are now in safe hands, and the Humane Society is ensuring they receive proper care and looking for loving homes.

We can’t get enough of TikTok’s newest stars – Murray and his new cat companions, Ash and Oreo. The video of Murray and his family’s journey, from the loss of their cat to adopting two new feisty kittens from HSDC, has gone viral!

We love hearing stories like this that show how our work goes beyond just food and shelter. It’s about healing hearts, building connections, and giving families new beginnings. 💙
