I'm so sad. I just learned that Grandie, one of my favorite clients, passed away yesterday. She was 18.5 years old! She was a sweet, wonderful dog who charmed everyone who met her.

A good article about health insurance for pets.

I have Katydid covered by Healthy Paws. Many suggest establishing your fund by regularly putting money into a savings account. Unfortunately I don't have that kind of discipline! I invest in health insurance because I never want affordability to be the deciding factor on any treatment KD may need. I based my decision for Healthy Paws on the premium cost, the deductible, the scope of coverage/exclusions and the lack of a per incident/annual/ lifetime cap on benefits.
