Adopt Betzy! She’s a 9 months old, 13-lb Shih-Tzu blend. She’s ready for snacks, snuggles, and sniffing new adventures.
General Behavior: Betzy is an affectionate, active dog. She is friendly and curious around new people/things and she has a spirit of adventure.
Likes & Dislikes: This energetic, playful gal loves toys: the more, the merrier! She’s also food-motivated and likes snacks.
Training: Betzy is a little lady! She is house-trained if let out regularly, walks well on a leash, and generally has good basic manners. She does like to jump up on new people but this behavior can be corrected by a devoted family who continues her training. Betzy is intelligent and already learned a couple of commands from her fosters.
Medical: Betzy is a healthy girl! She just needs her monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention, like any other dog.
Other Animals: Betzy hasn’t been extensively observed around other animals yet, but her fosters reckon this outgoing gal would do well with other dogs. They don’t think she would do well with cats, however: she may be part terrier, because she is not a fan of rabbits.
Children: Betzy loves kids! She has done well with all the children she has met in her foster home, from age 2 to age 10.
Home: This easygoing sweetheart would do well in a condo, apartment, or single family home: wherever there is a loving forever family who can give her the love, attention, and care she needs.
Grooming: As a short-haired dog, Betzy shouldn’t require too much elaborate grooming.
Overall: Betzy will make a wonderful companion for an active family who can love her forever.
