For July, the indoor arena will be closed every Thursday from 5:30-8:30PM for drill practice, starting this Thursday. All other riding spaces are open.

We had a great jump day with Caley Thomas this weekend! We saw huge improvement with our young riders, green ponies and ground pole class and got to see the more advanced class work some fun exercises over the higher jumps. Additional dates will be added, so come and join in on the fun and learning.

Thank you to Spokane Pony Club for organizing such a fun weekend. We loved hosting Pony Club Camp this year! These kids are tough, kind, funny and respectful and we appreciate being a part of their horsemanship journey.

Today is the 3 year anniversary of Monroe Farms! I’ve been reflecting a bit on this journey and the memories over the last 3 years. If I had to do it again, knowing what I know now, I’d never have the energy. I’m so happy I bought the farm when I did and so proud of what it has become. I love this farm more than I can describe.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this farm through boarding, hauling in, attending events, volunteering time and money or just being an encouraging supporter of this crazy adventure. Today, I very much appreciate all of you and my poor family members who have been roped into an insane amount of work these past 3 years.

Horse Show Weekend!

Working Equitation Horse Show will be happening this weekend at the farm, Saturday and Sunday. The show will take place in the Ease of Handling Course and Half Court Dressage Court marked on the map.

If you’re interested in volunteering, we could still use a few people to help (calling out tests, checking tack, selling food, etc). If you want to help, reach out to me with what day/time slot you’re available.

If you would like to come and watch, bring a lawn chair and come on by. Food will be available for purchase for breakfast, lunch and dinner both Saturday and Sunday.

We have added an additional 400’x200’ feet of riding space! This new space includes the Working Equitation Ease of Handling Course.

If you’re interested in Working Equitation - we have a really amazing group of knowledgeable riders that can help you out with opportunities for paydays, clinics and shows.

It’s not too late to enter the WE Show next month, May 17-18th. A schooling option exists where you can have a coach in the arena with you and Keri and her group are offering practice sessions to get you ready. Sign up and have some fun!
