Parker had an absolutely wonderful time at Decatur Brew Works and everyone loved him! He was so well behaved and got lots of love and treats.
Parker has been waiting for a home for over a year now, and is still such a happy guy. He’s been good with the other dogs and cats we’ve introduced him to. He is available for adoption through Macon County Animal Control & Care.

🚨 WE ARE AT CRITICAL CAPACITY 🚨
EFFINGHAM COUNTY SHELTER & ANIMAL CONTROL

This is an emergency.

Our shelter is completely full — not “almost,” not “busy,” but out of space.
Kennels are full. Overflow is full. Every safe option we have is already in use.

Animals are still coming in — and right now, we have nowhere for them to go.

💔 We need help — immediately.

We are asking our community to step up RIGHT NOW:

🐾 Adopt — If you’ve been waiting, this is the moment.
🐾 Foster — Even short-term fosters save lives.
🐾 Rescues — We desperately need pull help.
🐾 Share — Visibility saves animals. Period.

Approved adopters may be able to meet animals the same day.
Fosters don’t have to be forever — they just have to be now.

Princess and her kittens will be processed for adoption through Macon County Animal Control & Care next week. We will post another update when we have the exact date. They are healthy, playful and beautiful cats! You can apply now to be pre-approved, just list ‘Happy Acres foster’ on the application. The application is on our website. Applying does not commit you, but will expedite the adoption so hopefully the kitties can go from surgery straight to their forever homes.
