So I have decided to dedicate more time and energy into the rescue. I've been spending my money on the birds however I would like to have more so that I can get more toys, perches and bigger cages. Hopefully I can start bringing in more birds too and possibly get a building. So I've started a Patreon account and will be having memberships starting at a dollar. I will be sharing more pictures, posting videos and giving advice. And more importantly I will be creating a supportive community.

So we still have Gene, we have had him for 4 months now and he's really enjoying it.

I would never recommend letting a cat(or dog) this close to our birds, no matter how much you trust them, cause accidents happens.

Well tomorrow is when we find out what happens with Gene. He may be just going back home, he may stay with us a little longer, or who knows what? I'm a little twisted about it. Since he's been with us most of our birds have been too scared to even come out of their cages even though they are in a different room. So I haven't played or been comforted by my birdies in almost a whole month and I've been going through some hard times, I've really needed that. So with Gene, part of me really enjoys him and the other birds are getting use to him plus I'm getting him use to a cage, but the other part of me just wants my birdies back. I guess either way Gene will always have a friend here.

When I first started watching this guy, we couldn't touch him and could hard give him anything without him trying to getting us. Now he gets down on the bed with me to play and cuddle up and he gets down on the floor with me to play. He was improved so much. I have even notice some feathers growing in, I'm hoping he will continue to let them grow in.
