Meet Harvey, our fabulous 9-year-old island boy and Patient of the Month! He came to us last October with some left-sided weakness and neck pain around C6-C7—but that didn’t slow him down for long. After months of rehab, tail wags, and pure determination, Harvey graduated in May, strutting out with strength, confidence, and his signature swaggery hip sway. 💃🐾

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Lorenz to the RVM team!

Dr. Lorenz officially joins our practice on August 12th, bringing a passion for small animal rehab, a background in equine medicine, and a heart full of compassion for every pet she meets.
Her clinical interests include neurological rehab, osteoarthritis management, and tailored recovery plans for post-operative and senior pets.
When she’s not in the clinic, she’s adventuring with her husband and their herd of horses, goats, chickens, ducks, cats, and dogs! And yes, she’s even known to reel in the occasional catch on the water! 🎣
We’re so excited to have her on board and can’t wait for you and your pets to meet her.

🌟 Patient of the Month: Emerson 🌟
Meet Emerson—a sweet, determined pup whose journey has been nothing short of inspiring. When he first arrived at rehab, he was noticeably weak in his hind legs and hesitant to walk on slick surfaces. Every step was a challenge, but Emerson never gave up. After a few initial sessions, we noticed his progress wasn’t quite where it should be. An MRI revealed the underlying cause: a mass compressing his spinal cord and affecting his mobility.

Emerson bravely underwent multiple rounds of radiation, facing each treatment with a gentle spirit and a wagging tail. Once complete, he returned to rehab ready to regain his strength and coordination—and that’s exactly what he did. Week by week, we watched Emerson grow stronger, steadier, and more confident.

Today, Emerson is a whole new dog—zipping around the dog park, playing with friends, and embracing life with unshakable joy. We are so proud of this incredible boy and the progress he’s made. Emerson, you are truly a star! 🌈🐾💛

We've officially outgrown our towel supply! 🐾💦

With so many amazing pups coming through for underwater treadmill sessions, we're going through towels faster than ever. We’re so grateful to have this problem—thank you to all our wonderful patients and paw-rents for helping us grow! 🐶💚

If you have any gently used towels to spare, we’d love to give them a second life drying off some very good dogs. Donations can be dropped off at the clinic anytime during open hours!
