AMAZING ORANGE CAT ALERT! PLEASE SHARE!

If you've ever wished your cat came with the personality of a dog, then REMI may just be your perfect match.

REMI is a 3 year old, larger-than-life orange tabby with an even bigger heart. Like many orange cats, he's equal parts charming, goofy, mischievous, and endlessly entertaining. His hilarious antics, playful spirit, and zest for life keep us laughing every day—and we're pretty sure he'll do the same for his future family.

This handsome guy loves being part of whatever is happening. He'll greet you at the door, rub against your legs, follow you from room to room, and supervise all household activities with great enthusiasm. If there's action, REMI wants in. If there's a sunny window, he'll happily claim it and keep watch over the neighborhood.

REMI is an active, social cat who thrives on interaction. He loves interactive play, roughhousing, and spending time with his people. He's curious, adventurous, and always looking for his next bit of fun. Because of his energetic nature, he'll do best with a family that appreciates a cat with a big personality and is excited to engage with him.

But REMI isn't all play. When the excitement winds down, he's a sweet, affectionate companion who enjoys relaxing with his favorite humans and soaking up attention.

REMI gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats and would love a home with a playful four-legged friend to help burn off some of that orange-cat energy. Whether his new sidekick is canine or feline, we think he'd be happiest with a buddy.

REMI is fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and negative for FIV/FeLV. He's being fostered in New Milford, CT, and is ready to find the family that will cherish him as much as we do. (DOB 06/2023.)

If your home could use a little more laughter, love, and orange-cat chaos, REMI is waiting to meet you.

CONGRATULATIONS, RUSTY!

Today is the first day in RUSTY's next chapter.

After losing both of his beloved parents and trying to make sense of a world that suddenly felt very different, RUSTY has found his happily-ever-after with Jen and her 10 year old daughter, Brooklyn.

The moment we arrived, it was clear that something special was happening. RUSTY gravitated straight to Brooklyn, as if he already knew she was meant to be his person. The two quickly bonded, and watching them together made it easy to imagine all the adventures, snuggles, and walks they'll share in the years ahead.

Before settling in, we took RUSTY for a walk with Jen's neighbor, Louise, and her dog, Stella. Stella was immediately smitten with RUSTY, and we have a feeling a wonderful friendship is about to blossom right downstairs.

For a dog who has endured so much loss, seeing him walk into a home filled with love, companionship, and kindness was incredibly moving. We truly believe his mom and dad were watching over him and played a part in helping him find exactly where he is meant to be.

Happy life, sweet boy. You are so loved by so many.

CONGRATULATIONS, ASTER & ZINNIA!

Today we said goodbye to ASTER & ZINNIA, two beautiful, perfect kittens who happily headed off to their happily-ever-after with Carina & David and their two daughters, Celia, 9, and Evie, 4.

After the long drive to their new home, ASTER & ZINNIA wasted no time settling in. They explored the house, played with Celia and Evie, enjoyed some lunch, used the litter box, and then curled up for a well-earned nap.

We'd like to send a huge thank you to Nicole and her daughters, Leighton & Makayla, for fostering ASTER, ZINNIA, and their sister DAHLIA. Their love and dedication helped these kittens grow into the confident, social, and well-rounded companions they are today.

HAVE THE BEST LIFE EVER ASTER & ZINNIA. You are perfect and so well loved.

Remember a few weeks ago when we posted a pic of all the fun puzzle mats our friends Bea & Merritt made (with the oversight from P4P alums MARTIN & FRASIER)?

We delivered them all to MAX, who is decompressing in our Waterbury location after being locked away in isolation for the past 2 years or more.

MAX loves his puzzle mats! Here he is playing with one in the video!

Thank you Bea, Merritt, MARTIN & FRASIER for helping him get the mental stimulation he needs!

Reni visited Embrace Animal Hospital today for an exam and bloodwork. While we're happy to report that she did very well, we learned that she weighs just 6 pounds, which is approximately half of what her ideal weight should be.

Because she is significantly underweight, Dr. Dana has recommended postponing her vaccines for about four weeks while we focus on helping her gain weight and build up her strength. If you ask Reni, she thinks this treatment plan sounds pretty fantastic!

Based on her exam, Dr. Dana estimates that Reni is only 7 to 9 months old, so she's still very much a puppy.

We would love to find a medical foster-to-adopt home for Reni. She needs a family willing to help her continue her journey to good health while showing her what it's like to be a cherished member of a family. A secure fenced yard with another playful dog or cat and/or children would be a bonus. (No electric fences please. She’s too small and they are considered secure.)

Reni is a sweet, energetic young pup who would thrive in an active home where she can play, learn, and burn off some of that puppy energy. She is good with both dogs and cats, rides beautifully in the car, and is making great progress with her potty training.

At bedtime, Reni's favorite place is snuggled under the covers right next to her person. She eats every meal like she's afraid it might be her last, so a slow feeder is a must while she learns that food will always be there for her.

Most importantly, Reni is absolutely precious and seems to win over everyone she meets. She has a way of stealing hearts wherever she goes.

If you're interested in helping Reni gain the weight, confidence, and love she deserves while potentially becoming her forever family, please apply at www.passion4paws.org/adopt.

Meet CARL. We pulled him out of the Hartford Pound on Friday.

CARL (fka as LEE, Dog 348) is approximately 12 years old. He was found wandering the streets of Hartford, so matted he could barely walk and could not see anything.

Thankfully, ACO Sherry got him shaved so he could at least move better and see the world again.

CARL has some arthritis in his hips, but he's mobile, and we expect that with consistent walking, he'll be able to strengthen his hip and leg muscles and become more steady on his feet. There may be some eyesight issues as well. He can see, but we're not sure if he has depth perception issues or is just a bit head shy.

CARL is very sweet! He likes the other dogs in his foster home and has been sleeping a lot - something that often happens after a dog comes out of the Pound, because it's such a stressful place for a dog.

CARL is not quite ready for adoption. We are letting him decompress a bit and then we have to get him to the vet for some geriatric bloodwork and a neuter. Believe it or not, his teeth look pretty good - but we've thought that before and they still needed a dental, so we'll see.

We just wanted you to at least know he's here with us and will be available for adoption very soon.

If you are interested in adopting CARL, please go to passion4paws.org/adopt to submit an online application to adopt a dog. He is being fostered in Middletown, CT.

CARL is some kind of poodle mix and he will require regular grooming so he never becomes matted again.

This morning we pulled this sweet puppy from the Waterbury Pound. She was. found wandering the streets and is extremely emaciated, but as sweet as pie.

We are calling her RENI.

RENI is so skinny we are not quite sure how old she is, but she is definitely a puppy, under 1 year old. She will probably weigh 15 lbs once she's gained her weight back.

RENI settled right into her foster home where she had a bath and a much needed pedicure to address her very long nails.

She is way too thin to undergo surgery at this time for her spay, but we will be taking her to the vet this week for an exam and bloodwork. Then we just need to fatten her up a bit before completely her vetting.

RENI is good with other dogs and cats, both of which live in her foster home.

If you are interested in RENI, go to passion4paws.org/adopt. She's currently being fostered in Waterbury, CT.
