Elderly Man Admits He Paid People to Pick Up “Dog P**p” That Was Actually His

Pine Bluff, Ark. — A 90-year-old man admitted he paid several people to clean what he claimed was dog waste from his backyard, only to later reveal it was his own.

Harold Baines told neighbors he had become bored after his wife’s death and thought the scheme would give him something to watch from his porch.

The truth came out after one worker confronted him, saying he had never once seen a dog at the home.

Baines said he regrets his actions and is willing to refund anyone he paid to clean the yard.

He said he never intended to humiliate anyone and called the situation “a stupid thing born from loneliness.”
