Adopt Lizzy! She is a 3yr old, 75lb, tall, friendly, playful female Great Pyrenees with badger markings that look make her look like a 2 of Diamonds.

Lizzy was found on the streets with her 3 week old puppies. They all came into SPIN Rescue and now that her babies are older and adopted, it is time for Lizzy to find a family of her own.

Lizzy has always been very sweet, friendly, and affectionate. She loves walks, saying Hi to new people and getting hugs.

She is good with other dogs and would love to have another large dog to play with in her home. She loves to play chase, run around the yard, and follow it up with a big nap.

Lizzy is house trained. She has no need for a crate. She has a moderate amount of energy, as she loves to play. She gets very excited for treats, she tosses them around and will 'prance' with excitement.

Open your heart and home to Lizzy! She will be a great addition to any home.

Lizzy is currently in a foster home near Dallas, Texas. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging their own transport. Lizzy is now spayed, up to date on vaccines and heart worm negative. Her adoption fee is $250.

Recent rescue, Allie, came down with pneumonia and unfortunately has needed to spend the past 4 nights at the animal hospital. We are asking for donations to help cover her vet bills which are nearing $6,000. Please consider making a donation at www.spinrescue.org/donate

Just before Thanksgiving we could tell she wasn't feeling well, took her to urgent care where they diagnosed her with Pneumonia and sent her home with antibiotics. Unfortunately this past Thursday evening, Allie took a turn for the worse.

Allie became lethargic, had labored breathing and significant nasal discharge, so her foster took her to the emergency vet. She had a temperature of 104.8 and they wanted to keep her to for IV meds/fluids. She has been with them since Thursday.

She is improving slowly and hopefully will be able to go home tomorrow🤞Allie is a very sweet girl, and before she started feeling poorly she was playful, energetic, and snuggling with the other dogs in her foster home.

❤️‍🩹Unfortunately about 7 of our recent shelter pulls have come down with either Kennel Cough, an Upper Respiratory Infection, or Pneumonia. While we are glad we have been able to get them out of the shelters before their conditions have worsened, this has been costly on our funds and we are hoping to get some help recovering our piggy bank.

Please consider making a donation to our rescue. You can donate via check, card, PayPal or Zelle, at www.spinrescue.org/donate.

Thank you! 🥰

Adopt Merlin! He is a 4.5 years old, 95lbs, male Great Pyrenees. Merlin is the definition of a gentle giant with a sensitive soul.

True to his Great Pyrenees nature, he's a laid-back companion who spends most of his day napping and observing his kingdom. But don't let that fool you, when the mood strikes, Merlin comes alive with bursts of playful energy! He loves romping around with the other large dog in his foster home, playing with squeaky toys, and his favorite... destroying boxes.

Merlin is a sweetheart who adores hanging out with kids and will gladly accept pets and attention. He takes a little time to warm up to new people, but quickly becomes friends if you bring him some cheese. He is a gentleman and doesn't jump up on people or the couch, even when invited up. He is also not a fan of stairs.

He plays beautifully with other big dogs and must have another large dog in his forever home as he gets anxious when left alone. When he first arrived at his foster home, there were two scuffles over dropped kibble, but with separate feeding areas and no bones in the house, there has been zero issues.

Merlin is a smart cookie who knows sit, stay, down, leave it, and shake (though he'll give you a look that says 'really?' when you ask for that last one). He has also learned to open latch doors. Whether he actually performs these commands depends entirely on his mood, he has that independent Pyr streak.

He also knows "wait" for crossing streets and has decent leash manners, though he will pull if something scares him. High traffic areas stress him out, but he loves peaceful trails and wading through water. Merlin can be sensitive and need extra reassurance when it comes to thunder, vacuums, garbage trucks, and skateboards. He can also be vocal and not shy about sharing his opinions.

Merlin is a loyal, loving companion who has been through a lot but has so much love left to give. He is house trained, great in the car, wonderful with respectful kids, and once he warms up to you (don't forget to bring the cheese), you'll have a gentle giant who just wants to be part of your pack.

If you have room in your home and heart for a sensitive soul who needs a confidence dog sibling, Merlin may just be your perfect match.

Merlin is currently in a foster home in Dallas, Texas. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport on their own. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250. 💙Apply to meet and adopt Merlin at www.spinrescue.org

ADOPTED! 🥰 Lola has been adopted 🥰 She will be living with her two new parents where she will be an only dog and get all the attention. There are lots of walking trails, wildlife, and restaurants with patios in her new neighborhood that Lola will love exploring.

Lola came into SPIN Rescue because her mom could no longer give her the care she deserved due to medical conditions. SPIN is happy we were able to find Lola a wonderful new home and help her mom in what was a very difficult decision.

Lola is lucky that she gets to experience the love of two families in her life. Happy tails sweet girl!

Foster Stella post Thanksgiving dinner 😂 We had 14 people and 3 dogs for her to play with. Safe to say Stella was exhausted afterwards.

Stella is currently available for adoption! She is 4yrs old, sweet, great with kids and new people, good with most dogs (needs slow proper introductions with female dogs), and overall a pretty lazy gal.

❤️ Read more about Stella and all our Great Pyrenees currently available for adoption at www.spinrescue.org/available-dogs

Adopt Alaska! At 5 yrs old, he is wonderfully goofy, affectionate, playful male Great Pyrenees. He weighs a healthy 90 pounds. He is great with people and cats.

Alaska loves people, and will go right up to strangers to get his massive head petted. He loves kids and does well with them. He gets excited and jumpy when greeting people, so caution should be taken when introducing him to new people.

He loves to go for walks and does great on leash. At times he will stop and just lean against your legs for some love.

Alaska loves to play, but generally has a low amount of energy, and doesn’t need an excessive amount of exercise. He loves to lounge next to doorways and do his job of being a speed bump.

Alaska is fully house trained. He sits for treats and takes them gently. He does well in the car and is a calm and patient boy most of the time. He barks occasionally outside at strangers and loud noises.

Alaska is highly dog-selective. He is in a foster home with other dogs, some of which he likes. There is one he does not like, so they're kept separate. He is not appropriate for dog parks.

He has lived in a foster home with multiple cats and is very good with them.

When we pulled him from the shelter, Alaska was an urgent medical case as he had an extremely enlarged bladder stone. We quickly got him to a vet where they successfully removed the stone. He was an amazingly sweet patient and a staff favorite! Alaska eats a special diet to keep him from ever having to deal with bladder stones again.

Alaska is currently in a foster home in DFW area, Texas. Out of area adopters are responsible for arranging their own transport. Alaska is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heart worm negative. His adoption fee is $250. Visit our website to apply to meet and adopt Alaska, get started at www.spinrescue.org

Unfortunately, recently rescued Allie is sick with pneumonia 😢

Known as Allison at the shelter, she has the cream markings and overgrown eyelashes problem. Allie started declining after being pulled last weekend and went to urgent care on Wednesday. Now she is back home and recovering, she’s getting regular coupage and feeding by hand.

Luckily, she is also getting lots of love from the family and dogs in her foster home 🥰 Hopefully she starts feeling better soon.

Any donations towards her visit and meds would be great appreciated! She will also need surgery down the road to fix her eyelashes as they will eventually start causing damage to the surface of her eye. 🩷 Donations can be made at www.spinrescue.org/donate
