These events are for SSDT clients and graduates and are a fun way to get out, work around distractions, practice neutrality, and enjoy some time with the Peachy Pack!

Meet Alaska, the newest Peachy Pack member! 🍑

She started lessons with me today and we worked on the “Place” command!

She worked SO hard during her lesson that towards the end she was trying to sneak in a little nap 😂 Then after I left, she completely knocked out lol! Mom even sent me a picture of her sleeping 😂🥰

Mental work can wear dogs out just as much as physical exercise, and Miss Alaska definitely proved that today!

She did such a good job for her first lesson and I’m so excited to keep working with her! 🍑🧡

Lulah & Red are officially back home after completing their Board & Train programs! 🍑🧡

Lulah is actually a returning Peachy Pack pup! She trained with me a few years ago and came back this time for a refresher, with some extra focus on working through her reactivity and brushing up on those good habits.

Red came for the whole package! We worked on his basic commands, leash manners, confidence, and building more independence so he can navigate life with a little more confidence and a lot more skills.

Both of these pups worked so hard during their stay, and I’m so proud of the progress they made! 🥰

Are you accidentally overfeeding your dog?

When your dog’s feeding instructions say 1 cup, that means one level, flat cup. Not a heaping cup, rounded scoop, or cup filled to the brim with a mound on top. It’s also important to use an actual measuring scoop/cup. Those extra handfuls can add up quickly!

Overfeeding can contribute to unnecessary weight gain, joint stress, decreased energy, and other health issues. It’s important to keep your dog at a healthy weight for their longevity.

Measure their food accurately, and adjust portions based on their individual needs, activity level, age, and body condition.

Happy Fourth of July from SSDT’s Peachy Pack! 🇺🇸

Friendly reminder: fireworks can be overwhelming for a lot of dogs. Make sure your pups have a safe, quiet place to decompress, keep potty breaks on leash, double check collars/tags, and don’t be afraid to use the crate if that’s where they feel most secure.

A calm, prepared holiday is the best kind of holiday. ❤️🤍💙

Reese’s lesson was a field trip to Home Depot today! ✨
