We’re incredibly grateful to have Dr. Dubois as part of our Circle H family. His heart for people and animals shines through in everything he does!

After spending several years in Indonesia teaching farming, veterinary care, and ministry, Dr. Dubois and his family recently returned to the States. Though we are eternally grateful for everything this family has accomplished, we are very happy to have them back!

Oh, how we love June in the Texas Panhandle!

You might be wondering—what makes this month so special? Well, it’s National Dairy Month, and we’re udderly thrilled about it!

June gives us the perfect excuse (not that we needed one anyways!) to celebrate the incredible dairy farmers who work around the clock to keep our fridges full of milk, cheese, yogurt, and all those other delicious dairy goodies we love.

As we raise a glass of cold milk in appreciation, let’s not forget to check in on how the herd’s holding up. Those dedicated folks are always on the move, making sure our communities are nourished and satisfied. Wipe off that milk mustache and give a round of applause to the dairy dream team—thank you all for pouring your hearts into everything you do!🧀🥛🐄🤠

✨We’re thrilled to welcome Dawson to our team while he completes a clinical rotation here at Circle H Headquarters! ✨

Dawson is a fourth-year veterinary student at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine with a heart for food animal medicine and a deep-rooted passion for agriculture. We’ve been honored to host him this past week, but only have one more week with him— what a bummer right? Swing by and say hi before we have to send him on his way!

He grew up on a small cow-calf operation in southeast Georgia, where his love for livestock began. From FFA to working cattle with his family, Dawson knew early on that he wanted to dedicate his career to supporting producers and the animals they care for.

What lights Dawson up? Getting out on farms, getting his hands dirty, and working alongside producers to keep herds healthy and operations thriving. He’s all about practical, boots-on-the-ground care and building real relationships through shared hard work and purpose.

After graduation, Dawson plans to head back to southwest Georgia to open a mobile veterinary practice focused on bringing essential care directly to livestock operations in his community!

RABIES ALERT – Hartley County
Date of Report: June 6, 2025
Animal Involved: Bat

A bat in Hartley County has tested positive for rabies. The bat was humanely euthanized and submitted for testing, which came back positive for rabies.

This is the first confirmed rabies case in Hartley County in 2025.

Reminder: Avoid contact with wildlife, and ensure pets are up-to-date on rabies vaccinations. Report any unusual animal behavior to local authorities.

To ensure your pets are protected, please check their rabies vaccination status. If you are unsure or need to update your pet’s vaccine, contact Circle H Headquarters to schedule an appointment.

✨Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Meagan Gatlin, a fourth-year veterinary student and DVM candidate at the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine!✨

Meagan’s journey into veterinary medicine is one grounded in grit, heart, and a deep love for animals. Growing up on a cattle ranch in central Texas, she managed ranch operations before following her calling to veterinary care. With five years of experience in a rural mixed animal practice—working with everything from beloved pets to livestock and horses—Meagan quickly fell in love with the fast-paced, hands-on world of rural medicine.

She brings not only a wealth of practical knowledge, but also an open heart, an eagerness to learn, and a true passion for her patients—both furry and scaled (she’s recently found a soft spot for exotics!). Her long-term dream? To one day own her own clinic and continue making a difference in rural communities.

We are beyond lucky to have Meagan here with us, but we only have her for two more weeks, (I know, we’re sad too). She’s not just an exceptional surgeon and advocate for your four-legged family members—she’s a remarkable person with a bright future ahead.

Circle H Headquarters is seeking applicants for our Cattle Herdsman position located in Dalhart, TX. The Cattle Herdsman is primarily responsible for daily care of our registered Hereford and commercial cow calf herd. Please email inquiries to [email protected].

Additional consideration will be given to applicants who are self motivated, have strong written and verbal communication skills, experienced in cow calf and stocker operations, proficient with cattle record keeping systems, experienced in phenotypic selection, prioritize data integrity, experienced in process management, have ability to recognize individual animal needs, experienced with sales and marketing of purebred cattle and have ability to operate a variety of ranch equipment.
