Meet Apollo!

Apollo is a stunning 3–5-year-old male German Shepherd with a heart as big as his name suggests. He arrived at the shelter as a stray, and despite a rough past—someone had cruelly tied a string around a growth on his back leg—he has remained nothing but sweet and trusting.

This happy boy has limited vision in one eye and, due to progressive retinal disease, will eventually lose his sight completely. But don’t let that discourage you—Apollo’s spirit is bright, and he navigates the world with confidence and a wagging tail.

Apollo has completed a treatment regimen for a skin condition, and his beautiful coat is growing back. He already shines from the inside out. (SEE his befor and after pics!)

Sanders is just under 40 pounds, absolutely beautiful, housetrained, crate trained, good with other dogs, and very easy to live with once you are officially accepted into his inner circle.

But here’s the truth: Sanders is not a “love everybody at first sight” kind of dog. In fact, Sanders has opinions. Strong ones. He does not want to be passed around, rushed, grabbed at, or expected to instantly make friends with every person who walks through the door.

ADOPTED!!!! Living the Lake life and the Beach life, way to go buddy.

Meet Aristotle! our sweet, soft-hearted, low-speed Border Collie imposter.

This boy is an absolute sweetheart. His greatest dream in life is not herding sheep, running agility courses, or solving complex mathematical equations like some Border Collies might prefer. No, sir. This boy wants to go inside the kennel office, climb onto the bed, roll over, and receive belly rubs like the treasured baby angel he knows he is.

He may technically be a Border Collie, but he is quite possibly the least Border Collie-ish Border Collie we have ever met.

His version of “fetch” involves carrying the ball up a tiny three-foot hill, dropping it, watching it roll down, then slowly sauntering after it like he’s on a Sunday stroll. He’ll repeat this a few times, mostly to humor the humans, and then he’s off to find some shade for a well-earned rest.

He is a gem with people — sweet, loving, goofy, and eager to please. With other dogs, he can be a bit of a bull in a china shop, but in the most innocent, happy, “I don’t really know what I’m doing but I sure am excited to be here” kind of way.

He is still just a baby, still learning how to dog, and he is so ready for a home of his own. What he lacks in Border Collie intensity, he more than makes up for in sweetness, snuggles, comedy, and heart.

This precious boy just wants to be loved.

NEEDED!!!! 💙🐾 Meet Max – Just a Baby Looking for a Forever Home 🐾💙

At just 8 months old, Max should be worrying about puppy things—chasing toys, learning tricks and figuring out why leaves move.
Instead, he's already experienced more heartbreak than any puppy should.

Max was purchased from a breeder, but when his owner left him behind with family and never returned, his life changed forever. Eventually, the family decided they no longer wanted him. They loaded this sweet puppy into the bed of a pickup truck and drove him to a crowded metro shelter.

Thankfully, Max's story didn't end there.

Today, he's safe in rescue and getting a second chance. While he's understandably a little shy and unsure right now, every day he shows more of the loving puppy hiding beneath the confusion. He's good with other dogs ( but a bit of a wild child- so no small dogs or other dogs that will not tolerate puppy antics) and wants so badly to trust again.

This sweet boy deserves someone who will teach him that car rides don't end at shelters. That people come home. That he's worth keeping.

Meet Artemis 🖤🐾

Artemis is a young female GSD with a big brain, an even bigger heart, and the kind of loyalty that makes German Shepherd people fall in love with the breed.
She’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of your world. Car ride? She’s in. Gardening outside for hours? She’ll supervise and “help.” ( although you might not like her feng shui of your yard ) Relaxing on the couch? Expect her to curl up close—preferably with your arm touching her while she sleeps ( understand this is after she has run 3 miles)

Artemis is housebroken and settles in a crate, but she clearly prefers being with her people and isn’t a fan of being left alone in one. She’ll need continued crate confidence and structure in her new home.

She absolutely shines when given something to do. Frisbee? Yes. Balls? Absolutely. Fetch? Her favorite. She loves being outside and would thrive with an active family who enjoys adventures, training, hiking, games, or dog sports.

If happiness had four legs and a wagging tail, her name would be Dixie!

This adorable 1½-year-old Lab mix is all legs, all love and all about her people. At around 50 pounds, Dixie is the perfect blend of athletic adventure buddy and affectionate best friend. Whether she's zooming around the yard, exploring a new trail or simply following you from room to room, she's happiest when she's part of the action.

Dixie is spayed, incredibly sweet and has never met a stranger she didn't want to befriend. Kids? She loves them. Other dogs? She's happy to make new furry friends. Belly rubs? Absolutely. This girl is basically a walking ray of sunshine wrapped in a beautiful Lab mix package.

While Dixie has spent much of her life outdoors, she's ready for a major upgrade: becoming a cherished indoor family member. She's eager to learn, loves attention and is looking for a family willing to help her master the finer points of house-dog life. With a little training, patience and lots of love, she's going to blossom into an amazing companion.
