Hope’s Medical Update 🐾✨
An update on Hope! When her belly remained swollen after three parasite treatments, we sought a second opinion. An X-ray showed she was severely backed up with stool.
Hope was admitted to emergency care for a few days, where doctors cleared out about 60% of the blockage. They suspect a possible megacolon, which looks to be a congenital condition she's had since birth.
To try and help her, Hope is on daily medications and a specialized prescription food—which she needs to be fed every three hours, day and night, alongside continual monitoring to keep her digestive tract moving.
We still don't know what the future holds long-term, but we are taking things one day at a time to support her. Hope’s emergency medical bill is currently at $1,800, and her specialized food costs $3.49 per can. If you’d like to pitch in toward her emergency vet bill or diet, every bit truly helps.

Subject: Wanted: A couch to snooze on and a human to love.
"Hi! My name is kovu I’m a 3-year-old, 50lb terrier mix with a beautiful brindle coat and an even more beautiful soul. I’ve been staying with my friends in the rescue for over a year, and while they are nice, my one Christmas wish is a real family.
I'm a pretty relaxed guy. I like my walks and meeting other dog friends, but what I really love is finding a sunny spot to nap or curling up with my person. I’m easy to live with and have so much love to give.
Could you be the one I've been waiting for? Or could you be my safe place to stay (as a foster) while my forever home finds me? If you foster me, the rescue pays for everything I need!
Please check out my friends at luckycatrescues.org to apply to meet me. I can't wait to see you!"
