Purr Paws Rescue, Inc Looking for a cat or kitten? Come visit with us at adoptions to meet a new family member! Purr Paws does not have a shelter. We are a foster home based rescue.

Purr Paws is only able to accept cats into the program if there are spaces available in foster homes. If you are looking to place a cat or kitten into a new home, we can help you place the cat or kitten if you can keep them at your home (aka: foster them) until they are adopted or space opens up in one of the foster homes or at the Adoption Center. rr Paws is a no-kill cat rescue. We do not euthanize for space. Before Purr Paws places any cat or kitten in a new home, we:

* Spay or Neuter
* Vaccinate for FVRCCP (Kitten Shots)
* Vaccinate for Rabies (if old enough)
* Test for FIV/FeLV
* Treat for worms
* Treat for fleas
* Treat for ear mites
* Microchip (most cats and kittens)
* Any other treatment required to bring the cat or kitten to good health

We can also provide information for Low Cost Spay and Neuter, as well as being willing to work with individuals who are having difficulties with their cats or kittens to try and keep the cats and kittens in their current home. Help us save sick kittens!

Purr Paws Rescue is in urgent need of donations to provide life-saving care for our sick kittens.

We've recently and quite unexpectedly have been fighting FIP, blood infection, calicivirus, megaeasophogus and severe gastrointestinal problems. These fragile babies need immediate veterinary attention, including examinations, diagnostic testing, medications, fluids, and specialized care.

UPDATE: Joey, the tabby has been adopted!
The little black and white tuxedo is Angel, her brother, Diablo, is the solid black kitty, and the big gray tabby is Joey. All three are looking for their forever home, Angel and Diablo are a bonded pair and cannot be separated. Stop by PetSmart in Cypress to fill out an application or go to our website at the link below.

UPDATE: We are all glad that Xena was found and is safely back in the care of the rescue. We should stop right there with a happy ending. However, this was an intentional act of abandonment and the lengths Ashanta Owens went to cover her tracks are disturbing. She dumped Xena two days prior to reaching out to the rescue that she wanted to surrender her. When she didn’t show up at the arranged meeting date she concocted a story that she went to the wrong store and then ghosted. Responding a few days later that she turned Zena into petsmart. No, she didn’t. She dumped her outside of the store and then placed the empty carrier in a basket in the parking lot. The question is, why? The answer she’s a cruel person with a bad heart. But she is not as smart as she thinks she is. We have spent over a week collecting physical evidence to support the events and have already moved forward with recourse. The result may be nothing more than an inconvenience for her, but that’s OK. So Houston rescue community remember her name and please do not ever adopt to her or any adults in that household as we feel, they are just as complicit
