Pack Healer • Healing Grove • New Year’s Resolution
This year, my resolution is simple—but not easy:
to have the same patience, presence, and understanding with people that I have with dogs.
At Pack Healer and within the Healing Grove, we don’t label dogs as stubborn, broken, or bad. We look for stress, fear, confusion, and unmet needs. We slow down. We ground. We lead with calm and clarity.
People deserve that same grace. Behavior is communication—for every nervous system. Healing doesn’t come from pressure; it comes from safety, consistency, and connection.
This new year, I choose softer reactions, deeper awareness, and leadership rooted in stillness—for every soul that enters the Healing Grove, on two legs or four.

We started making them give more distance while food is being prepared. It's a work in progress but very good. My wife always does this exercise alone I try my best to stay out of it

Did you know dogs and wolves are 99.96% genetically the same?
That’s right — only about 0.04% of DNA separates your couch-loving dog from a wild wolf.
So why are they so different?
That tiny fraction of DNA controls behavioral switches, not just looks: • Fear vs. trust
• Stress response
• Sociability with humans
• Brain development
• Ability to digest human food
In fact, two dogs can be more genetically different from each other than a dog is from a wolf.
This matters because it reminds us: ➡️ Dogs aren’t “broken wolves”
➡️ Behavior is shaped by genetics + environment + leadership
➡️ With the right guidance, structure, and calm humans, dogs thrive
Small genetic changes. Huge behavioral impact.

Guys there's no shame in doing the right thing. Sometimes people don't have what it takes to handle a certain dog. That's ok. What's not ok is chaining a dog to a fence in an ice storm because you are ashamed you couldn't do it.
The more shameful act is dumping dogs to freeze in an ice storm. They need as much information at Northwoods Animal Shelter as they can get. Now you're famous because you handled it wrong

The plans for the park will be first I need it to help RedZone dogs. Idk what day or even if I'll be able to open to the public in 2026. I hope we can but I'm 1 person with volunteers. At the same time I have to train dogs which takes all of a person's time. It's a huge undertaking but I'll get er done
