So, Iâve decided to take my passion and make it my career. Please navigate to the about tab to view my certifications. Thank you for your interest enough to make it thus far. As mentioned in my bio my name is Kara (Casale/Rickens). My family consists of my loving and supporting fiance Randy, my beautiful and strong willed daughter Gia, our three dogs and two cats, Rambo (Catahoula Leopard Dog), Ta
nsy (Catahoula Leopard Dog), Nera (Doberman/Golden Retriever), Dippy (DSH) and Cece (DSH). If you ask Randy or Gia they will tell you I care more about the animals then them and that I even feed the fur babies better than I do them. I say I love them all equally, but I have to say that, right? As a small child I remember trying to talk my parents into getting any and every animal they would agree too, and trying to rescue any animals I had the opportunity to. My parents were not so thrilled when I brought two abandoned kittens home infested with fleas, but that is just who I am, wanting to help and save animals in any way I could. And now, as an adult with each day that passes my love and passion for animals grows, and I try to convince Randy into any and every animal he will agree to! And since I can't have them all to myself, this is why I am here. I want to extend my love and passion to you and your pets and make you a part of my family. I remember the pit in my stomach when I had to find someone to pet sit or board my pets with for the first time. Will they get fed and let out to the bathroom? Will they be abandoned? The questions running through my mind were endless. I decided at that moment I would some day find a way to ensure other pet parents that they had an option for pet care that made them feel safe and at ease when having to leave their fur babies. With that being said, although obtaining licenses for pet sitting is not required, I chose to take courses and become licensed and certified as another step to help you feel at ease when choosing pet care. I am a member of the Fear Free community and am Fear Free Pet Sitter Certified -searchable in their online directory ( https://fearfreepets.com/resources/directory ). I am also a member of NAPPS (National Association of Professional Pet Sitters) and finishing my certification with them ( https://petsitters.org/default.aspx ). I plan to continue my education with courses in canine and feline nutrition, as well as canine training. I am also insured and upon booking with me can provide that information to you if you shall request it. My dream and goal, is to build and open a boarding facility that stands apart from any other, where you can bring your pets and feel like you are just dropping them off at their home away from home. This is how and why I chose "Tails of Smokey Lake" as the name of my business. You and your pets are the beginning of my "tale". Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read about me. Please, please, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you have. Remember, I want you to feel safe and secure with your choice for pet care, so any way I am able to assist in the process, I would be happy to do so. I cannot wait to meet you and your fur babies, I look forward to extending my family!
