We only service the unincorporated areas in Lake County, IN. We are a no-kill facility of adoptable pets. We strive to maintain a healthy, safe, and comfortable atmosphere for any animal that stays in our facility. Our mission is to do our best to find good, loving furever homes for all adoptable animals.

A MICROWAVE HAS BEEN DONATED!!

📣 Donation Request 📣

Our staff microwave recently stopped working and we are looking to see if anyone may have a gently used microwave they would be willing to donate to the shelter for staff use.

Our team works long days caring for the animals and having a microwave available for lunches and meals during shifts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there… I’m Milo. 💙

Life didn’t begin the way I deserved. I was found abandoned, tied up alongside my fur siblings. I may never understand why—but what I do know is that it hasn’t changed who I am. I’m still full of love, still hopeful, and still waiting for my second chance.

I’m around 2–3 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped—basically, I’m all set to head home with you today! I’ve lived with both dogs and cats before and would love to be part of a family again. I’m a pretty smart guy, too—I already know some commands, and if you’ve got treats, I’m extra motivated to impress. With a little guidance and patience, I know I’ll be the best boy I can be. 🐾

Right now, I’m working on gaining confidence with my leash skills. It can be a little overwhelming at times, but I’m improving every day. All I need is someone kind and patient to keep cheering me on. I promise to give you my whole heart in return—I just want a best friend and a place to finally call home.
My adoption even comes with a free consultation with our amazing friends at Timber Mountain Training Services to help set me up for success in my new life.

At 80 pounds, Biddy is truly a BIG bundle of love! This sweet girl has become a staff favorite because everyone at the shelter knows one thing for certain — all Biddy wants is attention, cuddles, and to be your very best friend. 🥹💕

Looking for the ultimate cuddle companion? Biddy has you covered! She absolutely LOVES belly rubs and would happily spend hours soaking up all the love you can give her. When she’s not snuggled up close, Biddy enjoys going on long walks where she can sniff around and explore the world at her own pace. 🌳🐶

She also has a playful side and loves running around the yard playing fetch! 🎾✨

Biddy would do best in a home with NO other pets so she can soak up all the love and attention for herself — just the way she likes it! 💗

Moose is a handsome boy with a gentle soul who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. 💙 He was originally found as a nervous and emaciated stray, and while he has come such a long way, Moose is still slowly finding his way to trusting people again.

Moose does well meeting new people, but it can take him a little time to let his true personality shine through. Once he starts to feel comfortable, you’ll see just how sweet and special he really is. 🥹

One thing Moose already knows? He LOVES other dogs! 🐶💕 Having canine friends around helps him feel more confident and happy.
