❤️ NOW IT’S OUR TURN TO HELP ERIN’S FARM ❤️
The recent severe storms caused significant damage at Erin's Farm NFP, destroying shelters, fencing, trees and other areas of the property. Thankfully, the animals and staff are safe, but they now have a tremendous amount of cleanup, repair and rebuilding ahead of them.
We are asking our community to please consider helping an organization that has been there for Lake County Animal Control and the animals we serve time and time again.
We truly could not do some of the work we do without Erin and Erin’s Farm.
Just within the past month, Erin stepped up when we needed help with a severely injured sheep who required extensive veterinary care. She gave him a safe place to recover and ultimately a permanent home at the farm.
She was also there when we responded to the more than 100 chickens found abandoned along the highway during extreme heat. Erin’s Farm immediately opened its doors, helped provide emergency care and gave the surviving birds somewhere safe to go.
And those are only two recent examples.
Over the years, Erin has helped us with countless farm animals, provided placement when we had nowhere appropriate to house them, and even assisted our officers directly on calls when her experience and resources were needed.
When we call and an animal needs help, Erin shows up.
This time, she needs us to show up for her.
The storm damage at the farm is extensive. Multiple large trees came down, fencing was destroyed, access areas were blocked, and the remaining large-horse shelter was split in half. This comes after previous storms this summer had already destroyed two other shelters on the property.
Erin’s Farm gives so much to animals and to our community, often taking on the difficult cases that most people never see.
If you are able, please consider donating toward the cleanup, fencing repairs and replacement of the animal shelters. If you aren't able to donate, sharing their post can help just as much by getting it in front of someone who can.
They have been there when we needed them.
Now it’s our turn to be there for them. ❤️🐴🐑🐐🐓
Donation information can be found directly on Erin’s Farm NFP's original post and page.
