🧡🐈‍⬛ 🖤

A little reminder to keep our black kitties especially safe this season! Sadly, old superstitions and Halloween pranks can put them at risk. Please keep them indoors and safe from harm. They deserve love, never fear or cruelty 🖤

Coalition for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty-CPAC is an amazing local non-profit organization that does all it can to rescue and help save animals from cruelty and neglect. CPAC was there when I was getting a crash course into the world of rescue.
They have recently taken on several kittens and are in need of things for their care and transition to forever homes- which includes transporting them out of state.
Please take a look at their wishlist and share it so they can help these precious kitties. Check out their page to see these cuties! The wishlist is pinned at the top 📌

Record temps tomorrow with a heat index of over 115 degrees in some areas. Please be mindful of your pets and other animals..and if you see something, say something. Let’s keep animals alive.

Had almost 4 years with the fella. I don’t think it would have been as long if Shadow Cats hadn’t made treating his stomatitis possible. RIP Tucker💜

Garfield Update

He’s been home since Monday. He stayed inside long enough to eat a bit and get some petting, then he wanted OUT. He doesn’t act affected and is eating and drinking and back to being our “Welcome Home Greeter”. Video in the comments.

Update on Garfield:

He had his dental appointment today. His mouth was in pretty rough shape. A majority of his teeth had to be pulled. Some were loose and came out easily. One of his front canine teeth was broken off but the root was still there. His jaw bone showed to be so thin on his X-ray that it was decided to clean it out and leave it be for now.
His ears also got a good cleaning and treated for mites, even though none were seen( he gets treated with Revolution), just to be safe and since he claws at them a lot.
With so much work done, Garfield will stay the weekend so he can be monitored and make sure he eats.

Please pray for the old fella. It wasn’t the same coming home tonight and not be greeted by Garfield.

*********************
At the vet with feral colony head honcho, Garfield. Not a happy camper coming here but now a pile of mush. Hard to believe he was so feral before. Now just a love muffin.

Garfield has something going on with his mouth. Hoping it’s nothing too serious.
