🍂 Did you know fleas and ticks stay active long into fall and can survive winter?

Even when temperatures drop, these parasites don’t disappear — they simply become harder to see! Fleas can live comfortably inside heated homes, garages, and on your pets, and ticks remain active anytime temps rise above freezing. Both can still spread diseases like Lyme, Anaplasmosis, and flea‑borne illnesses during the colder months.

Keeping pets on year‑round prevention is the safest way to protect them. If you’re unsure which product is best for your pet, give us a call or send us a text at (402) 826-2497 — we’re happy to help you protect your pets!

🐾 Happy Veterinary Technician Week! 🐾

This week, we celebrate the incredible team of veterinary technicians who keep Crete Veterinary Clinic running with skill, compassion, and heart.

Our techs are the steady hands that comfort nervous pets, the sharp eyes that catch subtle changes, and the caring voices that reassure worried families. They juggle patient care, diagnostics, anesthesia, treatments, cleaning, calming, lifting, teaching — and they do it all with dedication that often goes unseen but never unfelt.

Every day, they show up for our patients with kindness. They show up for our clients with patience. And they show up for our team with teamwork that makes all the difference.

To our amazing technicians: thank you for everything you do. Your work matters deeply — to us, to the pets you care for, and to the families who trust us. We are grateful for your expertise, your compassion, and your commitment to providing legendary care to our community.

Please join us in celebrating our techs this week. If they’ve made a difference for your pet, feel free to share a kind word below. ❤️🐾

On this Patriot Day, the team at Crete Veterinary Clinic joins our community in remembering the heroes and innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001.

As animal lovers and caregivers, we also remember the nearly 300 Search and Rescue K9s whose courage, dedication, and gentle spirits brought comfort and hope amidst unimaginable devastation.

May we always honor the brave humans and animals who gave everything. We will never forget. 🇺🇸🐾
