I was leaving the barn when I heard noise coming from the pig pen. Well that noise was Elsa the pig snoring after her dinner.
Elsa and Georgia are definitely happy here.
Make sure you turn up the volume on the video.

Update: Amber has found her forever home! Thanks to everyone for reaching out, we were overwhelmed by the interest shown! We will post her adoptiin post once her new rider gets her home!

Available for Adoption!

Amber is a 15-year-old stunning paint mare with striking blue eyes. She’s a big, sturdy girl, standing about 15.1 hands. Trained to ride both English and Western, she can be a bit pushy on the ground and will test boundaries if allowed, but she’d be a great match for someone with experience. Amber will ride off by herself or with other horses. No buck or rear. She rides great and knows how to work off leg pressure. She refuses to back off a straight-load trailer, likely due to feeling cramped in a two-horse setup but has no trouble with the slant load she’s used to. Amber would make a great trail horse or pick a discipline. She’s barefoot and current on vaccines and coggins. If you want a nice riding horse with no soundness issues without breaking the bank here, you go! This mare is too nice to be sitting here; she needs a job. She is currently available for adoption.

Morning chores in the wind and rain. There's so much more work when everyone is stalled!

10/10/2026

With the possibility of heavy rain and wind, everyone had to be shifted around to stay dry. They all quickly settled in, especially with treats and extra hay in their stalls! The boys were too busy playing in the rain to come in for a picture.
We pray everyone stays safe.

Update on Ms. Elsa, she had her follow up bloodwork appt with Dr.Cait at Countryside Equine Hospital last week. We are glad to report after her med and diet change her insulin came back down from over 220 to 26, the lowest its ever been. All of her other bloodwork looked great as well! Her plan moving forward is to slower back off her meds and recheck her levels in 30 days. Thanks to Dr. Cait for a treatment plan that is working and helping us adapt her treatments and diet. We will keep updating as her treatment progresses.
