Multi-Tasking today. Getting a skin mount ready for the tan and building three fish to hopefully paint tomorrow. Also I will not be in my shop this weekend but there will still be a way for you to drop off or pick-up if need be.

We're just about at full capacity on ducks so if anybody needs to bring any now would be the time. And im only taking 5 more deer and a few more Fish (skin mounts) I can always take replicas.
Im better and back at it now.. but if you have tried to reach me the last 5 days ive been in bed sick so i apologize for not being able to respond to everybody.

With this season winding on down to a close. I just want to thank everyone who had dropped something off this year and thanks for everyone's patience. We still have a little room to take in a few more deer for anybody still planning on dropping off.

I've hit on this before but its been a while and this is the third head brought in this season that is no good due to storing it in a cooler and not a freezer. Once a deer is killed its a ticking time bomb until all the hair starts slipping out. If you add rain or water to the mix then it makes the chance even greater for hair slipping due to the water creates and enhances a bacteria that is in your hide. The best thing to do is freeze it or get it to a taxidermist. A cooler will ruin your hide if left in there to long and every hide is different on how long you have before it starts to slip it could be three days it could be one . If its not freezing your deer solid then i wouldn't trust keeping it there long. This one was brought in today. It was left in a cooler for a couple weeks as you can tell its moldy, hide is slipping off its nose pad, it stinks and hair is falling out. Nothing i can do for it but use a replacement cape.
