Long shot. A really really long shot but this is too weird !

Today we had a cat trapped in Ripley (not us) but some kind folks working community cats in and near a business. Trust me, they have their hands full !!

Today they brought a trapped cat. Very soft gray and white. Not a gray tabby. Solid soft gray and white.

He was freshly neutered, still had knot from stitches and appeared to have a lump from a reaction to his rabies shot. No eartip.

We suspect a neighbor stole your cat and relocated it ? No pictures, message us or text 304-531-8710

I so much remember my excitement when I received my signed grant contract with the WV West Virginia Department of Agriculture, for the 2026 year, for the WV Spay Neuter grant. When small nonprofits like mine receive not only the 9th year of grant support through this program but getting $31,500 (we matched with $21,000) its' a big deal. A really, really big deal. We hope you realize the benefit of this program in the State of WV.

This grant gave us the funding to work at breakneck speed to get cats sterilized. Today is a sad reminder that all good things come to a close.

We have exhausted our funding! We have Not exceeded the number of cats needing help, just reimbursement funding for our efforts. If you only knew the feelings of being "done" 4 months ahead of schedule... Heck, maybe you do know. We have feelings of pride in our performance, appreciation for a job well done, and confidence that we made a difference.
We are truly thankful for this program.

If you like stats, like I like stats, here is a snapshot of what this awesome program did for YOUR community. We are only a piece of the greatest State effort for animals that I personally know of. We must fight for it to continue.

We sterilized 533 cats.
126 were owned cats or shelter cats; 407 were community cats.
There was 277 spays and 256 neuters.
There were 335 Jackson County cats, 75 Mason County cats, and 123 Roane County cats.

We hope you will share our statistics and tell everyone how wonderful the WV Spay and Neuter Grant is to our State.
