Admin note and update on my shop following the unexpected flash flood event which occurred here in Harrison County this past Tuesday. The taxidermy shop took a pretty nasty hit with the flooding water. Being in that shop the past seven years I have seen a lot of rain but apparently not 8.5" in an hour as reported. The shop took in roughly 3 feet of water on the interior in about ten minutes time. Though my shop is quite the disaster area presently, I can report that all my clients trophies were quickly removed and were not impacted by the stormwater. With that said, my shop at 1500 Hwy 62NE in Corydon is gonna be closed for the foreseeable future. I have temporarily relocated my business operations to my private residence in the meantime and will be getting back to work once Ive sorted though all my tools and equipment. Ongoing remediation and restoration of my shop is in the process but due to electrical, health safety concerns and the overall age of the building it is going to take some time to work through and will probably require me to rebuild a new shop. Feel free to reach out to me by phone for questions. I won't be taking in any new work until September so that I can focus on getting cleaned up and caught up on last seasons work. This will definitely put me behind schedule so I appreciate all my clients patience. I also want to thank all the assistance and well wishes from family and friends who helped me in the immediate aftermath. It would've never been able to be done without your help. It was a real s**t show in there and I'm so thankful we were able to recover and remove all my clients prized trophies. Indiana Bones Taxidermy will be back. Thanks everyone!
