Imagine waking up to this every morning 😍

Yuki is one of our long-term residents still searching for their forever home. This girl is brains and beauty! One of her foster homes discovered that she can open French doors 🤣

Some of her likes include: heated blankets, snuggling, lounging in the sun, and singing along to sirens passing by 🚨 We’ve received so many good words from her foster homes about her!

Now for some of her quirks, she is drawn to more feminine presenting people, but will settle if given the time to do so. She would love to be the only dog in the home, but she does well with cats 🐱 A home with a fenced yard would also be ideal 🏡

She’s the perfect dog for someone looking for a companion to travel the road of life together 🛣️ She will be the most loyal and lovable companion to her person. We just need to find her the right home!

Parvo doesn't just make dogs "sick." It launches a full-scale attack:

💥 After incubation, the virus starts attacking lymph nodes and tonsils
💥 Invades lymphocytes, weakening the immune system and allowing the virus to enter the bloodstream
💥 Targets rapidly dividing cells, hitting bone marrow and intestinal lining cells first
💥 Destroys the lining of the small intestine that helps with nutrient absorption. Leaving the intestine unable to prevent fluid loss and bacteria from moving out of the gut

Warning signs: Lethargy, depression, loss or lack of appetite, sudden high fever, vomiting, and diarrhea

Miss Minerva is still on the lookout for her next adventure! 🩶

This lovely, sweet lady is currently living the dream in one of our dedicated foster homes. Her foster family says that she took a little bit of time to warm up, but then she went ahead and made herself right at home 🏡 She absolutely loves nothing more than getting pets from her foster parent's human children.

Minerva is still adjusting to being a tri-pawd cat, but she managed to jump on her foster's bed! (After many failed attempts 🤣)

Kittens Are Arriving at Heartland

Kitten Season has officially begun! Heartland is closed to the public, but our work with the animals continues. We need your help now more than ever. Make a donation today or shop items from our Kitten Season Wish List. Make sure to include your contact information in the gift receipt so that we can thank you. Monetary and in-kind donations are tax deductible.

Heartland has already received our first litters of bottle babies. These newborns went straight to foster homes where they will receive critical nutrition and socialization until they are old enough to be in the shelter. Heartland remains an open intake shelter for animals in Benton County. If you find kittens, please wait before moving them (mother may be hiding close by). If you suspect they are without a mother cat, please email us for next steps: [email protected].
