CARMA - Companion Animal Rescue & Medical Assistance CARMA has a fee of $115 for cats and dogs. We also do a home visit before adopting out the animal.

CARMA is a New Mexico, non profit, all volunteer, foster care-based corporation aimed at addressing the needs of abandoned, abused, and neglected companion animals (cats and dogs). CARMA stresses local involvement, but will reach out to all communities to assist animals in need and to identify safe and appropriate placement. The fee pays for the spay/neuter and age-appropriate vaccinations. The ap

plication process involves filling out a paper application and then going through a verbal screening with one of our members. Our adoption clinics are at Petco 3601 Old Airport Road near Cottonwood Mall Saturday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. We are not doing the clinics right now because of COVID 19. This handsome young man (about 2 years of age) is Cheyenne. He can be a tad shy at first, but is a truly wonderful boy. He will be your shadow and cuddle buddy, all while gazing at you with complete adoration. He was living outdoors until last year and loves having all the comforts of a cozy home. He does very well with his fellow felines, but dogs and small children might be a no-go for his best fit family.
