CARMA - Companion Animal Rescue & Medical Assistance CARMA has a fee of $115 for cats and dogs. We also do a home visit before adopting out the animal.

CARMA is a New Mexico, non profit, all volunteer, foster care-based corporation aimed at addressing the needs of abandoned, abused, and neglected companion animals (cats and dogs). CARMA stresses local involvement, but will reach out to all communities to assist animals in need and to identify safe and appropriate placement. The fee pays for the spay/neuter and age-appropriate vaccinations. The application process involves filling out a paper application and then going through a verbal screening with one of our members. Our adoption clinics are at Petco 3601 Old Airport Road near Cottonwood Mall Saturday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. We are not doing the clinics right now because of COVID 19. Vist us on Petfinder to see all available pets. We are in great need for people to help foster pets and help with adoption clinics. Please view our Petfinder site for a listing of all adoptable pets! https://www.petfinder.com/member/us/nm/corrales/carma-nm53/

We'd like to send our sincerest THANKS to our friends at CARMAX! These wonderful folks helped CARMA celebrate National Cat Day by volunteering their time to paint the cat building moved from Corrales Kennel to CARMA's property. We appreciate you!!!!
