Miss Maggie welcomes Honey the Cavipoo for five nights. Honey was timid for her first night, but soon she figured out that she is faster than Marley, which allows her to provoke Marley and then run, staying just out of reach.
Honey, of course, turned her nose up at the custom made meal of beef cutlets, chicken cutlets, rotisserie chicken bites, kibble, filtered water, and warmed in the microwave. You know, First World Problems.

But Honey figured out quickly that staying with Miss Maggie is about relaxing, in a home away from home, in a small pack, with as little stress as possible. (And she will eat that kibble later, or I will.... 😉)

Miss Maggie welcomes Rexie back for a couple of days. Rexie is a bit more excited about hanging with Miss Maggie than she was prepared for! Now they are playing well together separately.

Miss Maggie is hosting Mitzi the Maltipoo during the midweek. Her owner is looking for a permanent boarding situation while she travels as a flight attendant.
Mitzi is nervous and has some owner separation anxiety. But after about 6 hours she has settled down.
We are happy to help out Mitzi during her aging years and her anxiety.

Winter Time Arctic Protocol at Miss Maggie's: Engaged!
We put out one of our dried sunflowers heads from the summertime, filled up the bird feeders, turned on the heated bird bath, and are taking care of our neighborhood wildlife friends.

Miss Marley is with us 4 days a week for the next couple of months. She is resting in her dog bed while Miss Maggie relaxes in her Yurt Fur on her special dog-sized sofa in front of the window.
Food Lion had whole fryers at 99 cent a pound. Snatched one of those suckers at 6 lbs and got it going in the slow cooker. We'll see that bird again in about 7 hours....

Miss Maggie, while relaxing in her Mongolian Yurt fur, wishes everyone a Happy New Year!
Let's all commit to making 2026 better than 2025. We can do this. Together we are more than those who are trying to defeat us.

One of Miss Maggie's very kind neighbors gifted us an extremely thick and plush faux fur couch throw for Christmas.
So basically the dogs now feel like they are sleeping on fur in a Mongolian yurt.
Miss Marley is hanging out with Miss Maggie. And they both want the yurt fur.

Mr. Clancy is a pretty emotionally needy dog. We've had a day of unmet expectations. Poor fella. I wish I had the resources to put him on the pedestal that he is absolutely convinced that he belongs upon. But sadly he is here on Earth, with the rest of us. Poor little fella..
