😱 my oh my we are getting dangerously low on dog food😱

We are getting very low on dog 🐕 food. If you would like to help us out and donate a bag a dog food you can drop it off at the shelter or order it off our wish list and get it delivered to us. Our preferred brands are, Purina, Pedigree, Diamond, and Iams. But we will take what ever you are willing to give🙏.

Meet Gunner...the lovable nerd who never quite mastered doggy social skills.

Gunner is a handsome 3-year-old brindle terrier mix who's proof that
being a little socially awkward can be absolutely adorable.

If dogs had yearbooks, Gunner would have been voted "Most Likely to
Stand Awkwardly at the Snack Table." Think Poindexter...sweet,
intelligent, slightly unsure of himself, and never quite certain how
to start a conversation with the cool dogs. He'd much rather hang out
with his humans anyway—they're far less confusing.

Cats? That's a hard pass. Gunner has reviewed the application and
regrets to inform them they're not a good fit for his friend group.

With people, however, he's a total sweetheart. Gunner loves humans of
all kinds and has a calm, medium-energy personality that's perfect for
families looking for a loyal companion. He's happy to relax by your
side, but he's always ready for a little fun.

Speaking of fun...introduce this boy to a water hose, and you'll
witness pure canine joy. Suddenly, Gunner transforms into an
Olympic-level sprinkler chaser, convinced that attacking streams of
water is both an important public service and the greatest game ever
invented.

Stuffed toys, on the other hand, have a much shorter life expectancy.
Gunner doesn't play with stuffies—he conducts fluff extraction
experiments. If you've ever wondered what the inside of a squeaky toy
looks like, Gunner will happily provide a live demonstration.

Gunner didn't always know what kindness felt like. He came from an
abusive environment, but thanks to love, patience, and compassionate
care, he's left that chapter behind. Today he's thriving, learning to
trust, and showing everyone just how wonderful he truly is.

Meet Jersey – CEO of Naps, Snacks, and Looking Adorable.

At 14 years young, Jersey has earned every gray whisker, every
glorious nap, and yes...every delightful extra pound. She is
pleasantly plump, unapologetically so, and firmly believes that treats
are one of life's greatest achievements.

Jersey isn't just another resident—she's the matriarch of the rescue.
Having spent an incredible 12 years in our care, she's seen countless
dogs come and go, cheering them on as they found their forever
families. Now we're hoping it's finally her turn.

Like any respected queen, Jersey has standards. She chooses her people
carefully, decides which dogs are worthy of joining her royal court,
and has issued a lifetime ban on cats. (No appeals will be accepted.)

These days, Jersey's hobbies include perfecting the art of lounging,
supervising household activities from the comfort of a cozy bed, and
making sure no snack goes unnoticed. She's officially retired from all
unnecessary exercise and would like it noted that walking to the food
bowl absolutely counts as cardio.

She has embraced her golden years with grace, dignity...and an
enthusiastic appreciation for second breakfasts.

Jersey isn't looking for grand adventures anymore. She simply dreams
of something she's waited far too long to experience: a home. A warm
bed instead of a kennel. Gentle hands instead of passing visitors.
Someone who will smile every time they see her snoozing with her
little round belly pointed toward the ceiling.

We're seeking either a hospice foster or a forever adopter willing to
give this remarkable senior the greatest gift imaginable—a family of
her own. Whether she has months or years ahead, she deserves to spend

After 12 years of watching other dogs leave for happily-ever-afters,
it's time for Jersey to have hers.

doesn't need much—just a soft bed, good food, gentle pats on the head,
and someone who will love this sweet old lady exactly as she is.

Meet Harry...the distinguished gentleman with opinions, standards, and
a world-class snuggle game.

Harry is an adorable 9-year-old wire terrier mix...or at least that's
our best guess. Whatever ingredients went into making Harry, they
created one very handsome little fellow with a scruffy face that's
impossible to resist.

Don't let his age fool you—Harry still enjoys a good play session with
his favorite humans. But he's also reached that wonderful stage of
life where he believes cuddling is an Olympic sport, and he's training
for gold. If you have a lap, congratulations...Harry has already
claimed it.

He's a polite walking companion who strolls nicely on a leash and is
perfectly content accompanying you on neighborhood adventures before
heading home for quality couch time.

Harry isn't trying to win a popularity contest with the neighborhood
cats. In fact, he'd prefer they simply exist...somewhere else. As for
other dogs, Harry believes friendship is something to be earned. He's
happy to make canine pals, but only after conducting a thorough
interview process. Think of him as a dog with a carefully curated
social circle rather than hundreds of casual acquaintances.

Most of the time, Harry is a quiet, easygoing little guy. But when he
has something important to say, he'll let you know. Whether it's
announcing the arrival of a delivery driver, reminding you dinner is
three minutes late, or sharing his thoughts on squirrels, Harry
believes communication is key.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who's equal parts cuddle bug,
walking buddy, and tiny scruffy comedian with just the right amount of
sass, Harry may be the perfect addition to your family.

Harry is vaccinated and neutered. He is looking for a loving, lifelong
home where he can enjoy comfy beds, daily strolls, plenty of lap time,
and a fully fenced yard. He must never be chained, tethered, or
allowed to roam freely. Give Harry a home, and he'll repay you with

Meet Yuki – Part Great Pyrenees, Part Houdini, All Heart!

Yuki is a 7-month-old Great Pyrenees mix who somehow managed to
inherit all the best qualities: goofy, sweet, cuddly, playful...and
just a tiny pinch of "I wonder what's on the other side of that
fence?"

This handsome youngster is the perfect combination of zoomies and
snoozies. One minute he's happily playing with you in the yard, and
the next he's flopped upside down on the couch, snoring like he's
worked a double shift.

Yuki loves people, gets along great with other dogs, and firmly
believes everyone he meets is a potential new best friend. Cats?
Well...they're still on his "To Be Investigated" list.

Now, let's address the fluffy elephant in the room: Yuki is an escape
artist. Not because he's trying to run away from you—he's simply
convinced the grass is greener...everywhere. If there were an Olympic
event for casually discovering creative exits, he'd be bringing home
the gold medal.

Because of his impressive talent for spontaneous neighborhood tours,
Yuki must have a home with a tall, secure fence. Challenge accepted?
Great! Because once he's safely contained, he's the happiest, silliest
companion you could ask for.

He's still a youngster with plenty of growing (and goofing) left to
do, but one thing is already certain—Yuki has enough love, laughs, and
cuddles to fill a house.

Yuki is looking for a forever family that can keep his adventurous
spirit safely contained while giving him all the love he deserves.

Meet Richard...the dog who is 90% Dachshund, 10% Kangaroo, and 100%
entertainment!

Richard is a handsome 2-year-old Dachshund mix with a zest for life
that simply can't be contained. We strongly suspect there's a kangaroo
somewhere in his family tree because this boy has springs for legs! If
there's something to jump over, onto, or around, Richard is ready to
demonstrate his impressive vertical leap.

His favorite hobby? Toys. Squeaky toys. Chew toys. Toss toys. Mystery
objects that somehow become toys. He'll happily play with you, but if
you're busy, don't worry—Richard has absolutely no problem putting on
a one-dog comedy show to entertain himself.

He's already mastered "sit" and walks reasonably well on a leash,
although every now and then those kangaroo genes remind him that
bouncing is just more fun than walking.

And can we talk about those ears? They deserve their own fan club.
They're so spectacular we're convinced they pick up radio stations
from neighboring countries.

Richard is friendly with everyone he meets—dogs, cats, kids, adults,
strangers, and probably the mail carrier (which is pretty impressive
for a dog!). He's always ready to make a new friend and spread a
little joy wherever those bouncy legs take him.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who will keep you laughing,
keep your toy basket empty, and brighten every day with his goofy
personality, Richard is ready to hop right into your heart.
