Lizzy Olive is a 2-year-old mixed breed girl weighing around 30 pounds, and she has the biggest, happiest heart! While Lizzy can be a little nervous and shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly once she realizes she's safe. After that, her sweet, loving personality shines through, and you'll have a loyal companion by your side!
After being found as a stray with her puppies, Lizzy has blossomed into such a wonderful dog. She is gentle, affectionate, and easygoing, bringing a warm and happy presence everywhere she goes! She loves spending time with her people and is always ready for cuddles, attention, and affection!
Lizzy is the kind of dog who makes life better simply by being in it. She's easy to handle, enjoys being around people, and has a calm, relaxed personality. While she's generally laid back, she still enjoys playing with other dogs and having fun when the opportunity arises!
One of Lizzy's favorite things is spending time outside, especially lounging in the yard and soaking up the sunshine. She's perfectly content relaxing by your side, whether you're enjoying a beautiful day outdoors or having a cozy day inside!
Lizzy does well with both dogs and cats, making her a great fit for many different homes! She is a sweet, loving girl who is ready to find people who will cherish her as much as she'll cherish them.
When Lizzy first came to us, we discovered she had a vaginal prolapse. She underwent corrective surgery and completed a month-and-a-half-long recovery, and everything healed beautifully. Unfortunately, we then learned that Lizzy is heartworm positive. She has now started the heartworm treatment process and is looking for a foster home where she can relax while she completes her treatment.
During treatment, Lizzy will need a calm environment with limited activity so she can safely recover. Once her treatment is complete in a few months, she will be available for adoption. For now, she is available for fostering, with the potential for a foster-to-adopt placement once her treatment has been successfully completed.
Lizzy has overcome so much already, and through it all she has remained incredibly sweet, loving, and resilient. If you're looking for a gentle companion who enjoys the simple things in life and has so much love to give, Lizzy Olive may be the perfect match for you!
