As we approach our 1 year anniversary of opening, hospital manager Isis takes a break from work to reflect on the lives saved, and contemplate the future. “Yes,” she thinks, “I AM a good girl. And we are just getting started.”

The first ever Fur Missile First Aid course was a total success! We got to instruct our wonderful K9 handlers in everything from the canine physical exam to how to handle a pneumothorax. We concluded the day with a performative evaluation in our Down Dog Room, a CPR panic room if you will, where they got to put their new skills to the test. Awesome job, men! Big thanks to our instructors from the Maverick Surgery team, and thank you Concord Police K9 for hosting us 🐕 🐾 🚑 🏥

What would you do if your pet broke a bone? Sometimes the only affordable option is amputation, a fraction of the price of surgical repair. NO ONE wants this - not you, not your pet, NOT YOUR VET. So Romeo’s vet reached out to us. We can work together, to keep bodies and families and communities together 🫶🏻 No pet-parent ultimatums. No inter-clinic competition. Just. Pure. Wins.
