Calling experienced horse people — we’re hiring! 🐴

North Bridge Equine Associates is looking for a full-time Ambulatory Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

If you’re confident handling horses, enjoy being outdoors and on the road, and want a hands-on role where no two days look quite the same, this could be a great fit. You’ll work primarily alongside one of our veterinarians, traveling to farms and assisting with everything from lameness exams and diagnostic imaging to patient care, client communication, and keeping the veterinary vehicle ready for the day ahead.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, organized, eager to learn, and—most importantly—an experienced horse person who understands how to work safely and confidently around a wide variety of horses.

⏰ Full-time | Monday–Friday | Typically 9–5
🐴 No weekend or after-hours emergency duty
🩺 Health & dental insurance, retirement match, paid time off, CE allowance + more
📅 Anticipated start: October 1

Experienced veterinary assistants, grooms, barn managers, veterinary-assistant or tech program graduates, recent college graduates, and pre-vet students are encouraged to apply if they meet the horse-handling experience requirements.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Claire Solomon will be joining North Bridge Equine Associates on September 14! 🎉🐎

Dr. Solomon earned her V.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and recently completed an intensive internship year at Unionville Equine in Pennsylvania. During her internship, she gained broad experience in ambulatory equine practice, sports medicine, dentistry, reproduction, and emergency care.

Claire will spend her first several weeks working alongside the NBEA veterinarians, meeting our clients, learning our practice systems, and becoming familiar with the horses and farms we serve.

Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing more about Claire, her background, her clinical interests, and some fun facts that make her, her!

The new NBEA AKF Jumper Challenge series shirts have arrived!

The Summer Jumper Challenge Series is a great opportunity for riders of all ages and experience levels to build confidence in the show ring in a welcoming, supportive environment. From leadline through 3'9", it's the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon with the fellow horse community.

And if you are interested in snagging your own shirt, we have a limited quantity available with a donation to the Norfolk Hunt Pony Club.

What a fantastic day at the Course Brook Farm Horse Trials this past Sunday! ☀️🐴

A huge thank you to everyone at Course Brook Farm for putting on such an organized competition and for taking such great care of the volunteers, competitors, and spectators throughout the day. Dr. Shen was present as the on-site veterinarian and thankfully was not called into action.

The North Bridge Equine jump looked great out on the stadium course, and Dr. Shen, Sheena, and Jenna enjoyed welcoming everyone to the NBEA tent for pink lemonade, fresh watermelon, snacks, swag, and plenty of great conversations.

Jess brings kindness, compassion, and a positive attitude to everything she does. Her love for horses and care for the people behind them make her such an important part of the NBEA team.
